Aion 2 is a free-to-play MMORPG from NCSoft that has been live in South Korea and Taiwan since November 2025. The global PC launch arrives on October 5, and if you have been watching this one from the sidelines, now is the time to get your setup ready. Early access is already running for players who bought a Founder's Pack, but the full free-to-play servers open to everyone in just a few days. Here is everything you need to know about timing, pricing, and what you actually get for your money.
When do the Aion 2 global servers go live?
The global servers go live on October 5. The times across major regions are:
These are the confirmed times as of today, but NCSoft has already run maintenance on the servers during the early access window due to unexpected load. Worth checking the official Aion 2 channels closer to launch in case the schedule shifts.

What is the Aion 2 Founder's Pack?
The Founder's Pack is the only way to access the early access period, which opened at 13:00 UTC on September 30. The base game itself is free, so the Founder's Pack is entirely optional once October 5 arrives. Three tiers are available on Steam:
Aion 2 Global Launch Exact Release Date & Start Times
After testing the early access build, the server strain is real. NCSoft already pushed maintenance before the full global population even arrived, so expect some queue times or instability at launch on October 5.
Is Aion 2 only on PC?
At global launch, yes. Aion 2 is a PC exclusive at this stage. The South Korea and Taiwan versions have been running since November 2025, but the global rollout is PC-only for now. No console release has been confirmed alongside the October 5 date.
How to prepare before October 5
Getting a head start on the systems pays off in games like this. Aion 2 has a fair amount of hotbar management and skill binding to sort out before you hit the open world. Knowing how to slot your active skills, consumables, and Stigma abilities correctly from the start will save you a lot of frustration in the first few hours. The Aion 2 hotbar guide covering skills, items, and macros walks through the full setup, including building 20-slot macros with presets.
For players new to the genre, Aion 2 sits firmly in the adventure games space alongside its MMORPG mechanics, blending open-world exploration with structured class progression. Getting familiar with that loop early makes the grind feel a lot less steep.
What about Twitch Drops and promo codes?
Nothing has been confirmed for specific drops at the time of writing. The global launch window is the most likely period for NCSoft to run promotions, so keeping an eye on the official Aion 2 Discord and the @Aion2Official Twitter account is your best bet. Free-to-play MMORPGs at launch almost always run some kind of watch-to-earn campaign, and Aion 2 fits that pattern well given its monetization model.
