Aniimo Tier List: Best Creatures Ranked for Every Role
Advertisement

Aniimo launched on September 16, 2026 across PC, Xbox, and PS5, dropping over 95 creatures on players at once. That number is exciting until you realize you have limited resources and no obvious roadmap for who actually matters. This tier list cuts through the noise by ranking final-form Aniimo across DPS, Break, Support, Heal, and Regen roles, pulling from closed beta testing and early launch data. Rankings are preliminary and will shift as the meta develops, but this gives you a solid foundation for where to spend your time.

important
These rankings cover final-form Aniimo only, not pre-evolutions. Pre-evolutions are worth using while you progress toward their final forms, but tier placement here reflects endgame performance.

How does this tier list work?

Every Aniimo is judged within its intended role. A healer that deals no damage is not penalized for low ATK, but it must provide enough recovery, protection, or utility to justify the slot. The criteria that matter most:

  • Role performance: Does the creature actually do its job at a high level, consistently?
  • Team contribution: Resistance reduction, EP recovery, crowd control, and buffs often matter more than raw personal stats.
  • Survivability: Defenses, mobility, and safe attack animations determine whether an Aniimo stays useful in difficult fights.
  • Content coverage: General PvE, boss encounters, PvP or Egg Heist, and exploration are weighted separately. A creature that dominates one mode but fails everywhere else does not sit at the top.
  • Flexibility: Aniimo that fit multiple team compositions rank above those requiring a specific element or partner.
  • Exploration value: Pathfinding abilities like Fly, Swim, Tunnel, and Homeland skills add real value, especially when two combat options perform similarly.

tip
Tier placement reflects value relative to other choices, not whether an Aniimo is usable. Every creature in this list clears content. The tiers tell you where to prioritize your resources.

S tier: the creatures worth building around

Irisalis sits at the top of the DPS category for good reason. Its 130 ATK, tracking damage, a long-lived clone, and a 240-Power AoE ultimate form one of the most complete offensive kits in the game. The Bloom Cluster ability adds nearby healing and a self-revival interaction, giving this attacker safety that most pure damage dealers simply do not have. Fly Lv.3 makes it elite outside combat too. It is obtained through Legendary tokens and a personal Legendary Aniipod, so it is not a quick grab, but the investment pays off across every content type.

Eklue is the standout support for Wind-type teams. Its Judgement Storm trait boosts the entire team's Wind damage by 20% whenever a skill applies a debuff, and Target Weakness reduces enemy Wind resistance by 12% at no EP cost. That combination creates exceptional damage amplification for any carry you pair it with. Its 132 ATK is unusually high for a support role, and short stuns give it practical interruption value. Low HP and M.DEF are real weaknesses, so positioning and careful Twining matter.

Gracewing is the best general-purpose healer in the current meta. Its Flutter Heal trait heals allies even while off the field when they use a skill, which means the team stays healthy without needing Gracewing actively deployed every second. On top of that sustain, it removes all debuffs from allies and restores EP, covering nearly every recovery need a team has. Damage and Break output are minimal, so pair it with a dedicated attacker and breaker. Fly Lv.2 adds exploration value on top of the combat role.

Coraliz brings a 107 BREAK stat alongside free EP generation, traps, vulnerability setup, and Coral Prison. That combination creates a control loop that few other creatures match, and its bulk keeps it active while setting up burst windows for teammates. It is particularly strong in PvP and extended PvE fights where sustained pressure matters more than a single big hit.

Wavwal earns its S-tier placement through reliability. A 110 BREAK stat, strong bulk, cheap pressure skills, and a team shield through Aurora Protection mean it contributes to the fight while protecting everyone else. It is one of the safest breakers to run because bringing it does not feel like sacrificing a damage slot for stagger duty. Swim Lv.2 keeps it relevant across water-heavy exploration sections.

Besauce provides EP recovery that is not tied to any specific element, making it the most universally compatible Regen option. Its Power Surge trait recovers EP when using low-cost skills, and Charged Geyser delivers a large EP burst when needed. That flexibility means it fits beside any carry regardless of element.

Somniwing offers sleep, vulnerability, EP support, and a damage-boosting Energy Orb, making it excellent at controlling fight tempo. Its Ethereal Light Wave skill absorbs enemy projectiles and increases EP recovery rate for the team. Fly Lv.2 and top-tier Homeland abilities (Leisure Lv.4, Grass Lv.4, Wind Lv.4) make it one of the best account-wide investments in the game.

Aniimo Tier List: Best Creatures Ranked for Every Role

A tier: excellent picks with manageable limitations

This tier holds strong creatures that work across most content but come with at least one condition worth knowing.

Fulmintis has the highest base ATK among DPS Aniimo at 130, with a kit built around critical hits and sustained blade attacks. Thunder Lance deals massive damage to multiple targets in a line and paralyzes them for 1.5 seconds. Cloak adds meaningful field utility, and fast repositioning translates well into boss mechanics. Several attacks depend on aim or brief setup windows, so clean attack opportunities matter.

Grizbo is the top physical boss damage dealer. Its 126 ATK, stacking mechanic, stun, and 227-Power ultimate shine during longer encounters. The ramp-up time makes it less impressive in short fights, but against durable bosses it is one of the cleanest options available.

Malevsera is the best self-sustaining carry. Demonic State combines offense, healing, damage reduction, and transformation-based pressure into one ability, letting it operate without constant support babysitting. Its ceiling depends on maintaining Might and transformation uptime, so shorter fights offer less room to get full value.

Rookey brings stuns, vulnerability, damage reduction, and 105 BREAK in a package that works as a physical frontline breaker. Bouncy Sling increases the BREAK damage that hit enemies take and can hit multiple targets, improving the whole burst window rather than just emptying the stagger bar. Detection adds exploration value alongside the combat role.

Both Helion and Lunara are available as starter choices and hold up well past the tutorial. Helion leans into physical burst with Holy Roar stacking, Holy Storm grouping, and solid AoE. Lunara offers stack-based damage, resistance reduction, and EP recovery with a mix that fits most early and midgame teams. Neither starter's ultimate transformation (Soleon and Fennelun respectively) counts as a permanent evolution, so they activate through their Judgment skills until combat ends.

Tromber deserves a mention for team utility. Grouping, resistance reduction, critical buffs, and EP recovery through Zephyr's Breath (which boosts Wind damage by 25%) make it ideal for AoE-heavy compositions. Its Band Member trait only works on the Chirpi evolution line, which is a real limitation, but its buffs and resistance pressure still prevent it from becoming dead weight in other setups.

Aniimo Tier List: Best Creatures Ranked for Every Role

B tier: solid but situational

B-tier Aniimo are perfectly usable but tend to have a narrower sweet spot than the picks above them.

Stellarys is arguably the strongest magic-type DPS in the current meta. Its Grand Sorcerer trait increases basic attack damage by 5 Might each time it uses a skill, and the kit combines tracking projectiles, clones, and glide attacks to maintain pressure while repositioning. The 125 ATK is strong, but the kit is EP-hungry and defenses are thin, so interrupted sequences hurt more than they do on sturdier carries.

Scorchhowl offers a smooth general-progression damage loop with free-cost kicks, dodge interactions, and strong AoE. Its 115 ATK and 170-Power ultimate are competitive, but it provides less team value and boss control than A-tier carries. Water or Dark pressure can expose its average durability.

Pawney combines 128 ATK, a stun, a pull, and a 220-Power ultimate. Hookshot is a major exploration advantage that justifies building it even when another carry edges out its damage output. Lower REGEN can slow repeated skill rotations.

Geoclaw stacks Ice Debuff through basic attacks or Icy Gravel Dance, and its Frostbite Sunder trait increases BREAK efficiency once five stacks are on an enemy. That makes it reliable rather than dependent on a single charged hit. Tunnel gives it a genuine exploration niche over many combat-only breakers.

Panpanta and Helgon both sit at T0.5 in stat-based PvP rankings due to high total stats, but in PvE their value is more conditional. Panpanta provides sustained BREAK support and frontline safety through Splash Shield. Helgon rewards disciplined counter play and handles physical bosses well, but its M.DEF is low and counter timing is matchup-dependent.

What's the best Aniimo for beginners?

Your starter choice between Helion and Lunara sets the tone for early progression. Helion is the more straightforward option, combining physical damage, grouping, mobility, and healing in a kit that does not require much management. Lunara demands slightly more attention to Silver Moon Mark stacks and resistance reduction, but its Lunar Power trait increases final damage by 20% and deals 100% extra damage while restoring 0.5% HP per basic attack against marked targets. Both are A-tier picks that stay relevant well into midgame.

Gracewing is one of the safest long-term targets for new players. It stabilizes imperfect teams while you learn enemy patterns, and the Flutter Heal trait means it contributes even when not actively deployed.

For the breaker slot, Wavwal is particularly beginner-friendly. Strong Break pressure, good defenses, and a team shield make mistakes less punishing. Coraliz offers more control and EP utility, but traps and positioning require slightly more planning.

Tromber rounds out a strong early team. Grouping, resistance reduction, critical support, and EP recovery improve several different team styles, and Fly Lv.2 plus Take Off means the investment stays useful outside of your active combat lineup.

Exploration and Homeland: the stats that matter outside combat

Pathfinding abilities are worth factoring into team-building decisions, especially when two combat options perform similarly. Here is what to know:

  • Fly Lv.3: Irisalis and Cornet. Elite aerial traversal that opens up large sections of the map.
  • Swim Lv.3: Piopiota and Gachapus. Essential for water-heavy areas.
  • Climb Lv.3: Blazen. Pairs with High Jump for vertical exploration.
  • Hookshot: Pawney. One of the most useful mobility tools for reaching elevated areas.
  • Tunnel: Geoclaw, Shrubclaw, Minespine. Lets creatures move underground, useful for both exploration and safely approaching ranged enemies.
  • Detection: Rookey. Uncovers nearby objects and cloaked Aniimo.

For Homeland tasks, Somniwing has the broadest high-level package with Leisure Lv.4, Grass Lv.4, and Wind Lv.4. Irisalis is another premium worker with Grass Lv.4 and Leisure Lv.4.

tip
Prismana and alternate forms can shift stats and kits enough to change an Aniimo's effective tier. Always check which form you have before assuming a placement here applies directly to your version.

Do not confuse Irisal and Irisalis

This trips up a lot of players. Irisal (B tier) evolves from Iris and has 116 ATK with a magic burst kit built around Focused Beam and Dancing Petals. Irisalis (S tier) is a separate Legendary encounter obtained through Legendary tokens and a personal Legendary Aniipod. They share a similar name and Grass typing, but they are entirely different creatures with a wide gap in power. Do not invest in Irisal expecting it to become Irisalis.

How often will this list update?

This is a launch-window ranking built from closed beta testing and early live data. Balance patches are expected, and the meta will shift as more players reach endgame content and push compositions further. The rankings here represent the best available information as of September 16, 2026, but placements for creatures like Fenmane, Grizbo, and Stellarys have already been adjusted once following the 1.0.0.7 build that restated base stats across most of the roster.
