Apex Legends x Cyberpunk Event Adds Night City and Cyberware

Apex Legends has launched a major crossover event with the Cyberpunk franchise, transforming the battle royale with a neon cityscape, new gameplay mechanics, and themed cosmetics. The collaboration went live on July 14, 2026, and runs until August 4, 2026.

Apex Legends x Cyberpunk Event Trailer

Wildcard Night City Mode

Night City has come to the Apex Games. The Wildcard limited-time mode introduces Cyberware upgrades, adding faster fights and quicker matches. However, a risk factor requires Legends to have better positioning and coordination. Pushing the Cyberware too hard leads to fascinating consequences.

Cyberware Mods

Players can choose between two new Cyberware upgrades that allow for quick dashes or invisibility, adding a shocking twist to combat.

Sandevistan

Sandevistan enables fast dashes in any direction. It is effective in fights and for escaping difficult situations.

Quick Tip: You can chain two dashes before touching the ground to cover more distance.

Blackwall Breach

Blackwall Breach allows players to phase and relocate to a different position. At the end of the phase, it unleashes a blast that damages enemy shields and tracks their location.

Quick Tip: The blast goes through walls, making it useful for damaging opponents inside buildings or behind cover.

Cyberpsycho Mode

Overusing upgrades increases a Cyberware gauge. Hitting the limit triggers Cyberpsycho mode, which grants advantages and disadvantages:

  • Increased melee damage
  • Faster movement
  • No shields
  • No weapons
  • No abilities

Night City E-District Map Takeover

  • The E-District map has been transformed to resemble Night City, featuring a neon skybox, holographic koi fish, and glitched signage.
  • The visual change is comprehensive, with specific Points of Interest like Energy Bank being taken over by the Arasaka Corporation.

Cosmetics and Rewards

The event's headline cosmetic is a Mythic version of the Alternator SMG modeled after Skippy, the talking smart pistol from Cyberpunk 2077. It features its iconic modes and provides in-game commentary—a new feature in Apex Legends.

Character Skins: There are 8 new Legend skins based on characters from Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. This includes skins for

  • Axle (Lucy),
  • Sparrow (David Martinez),
  • Rampart (Rebecca),
  • Lifeline (Female V),
  • Crypto (Male V),
  • Loba (Panam),
  • Ash (Lizzy Wizzy),
  • Gibraltar (Royce).

Weapon Skins: There are also 8 new weapon skins available for various guns, including the Alternator, Wingman, R-301, and Kraber.

Reward Shop: Players can earn a new currency called "Eddies" to spend in a Reward Shop for items like an Epic Valkyrie skin.
