Arc Raiders 'Waking the Grid' quest ...

The Waking the Grid quest arrives as part of the Flashpoint update in Arc Raiders, handed out by Shani, Speranza's security head. Her concern: the aging sensor infrastructure on Spaceport has gaps, and she needs someone to physically check three systems spread across the map. Three objectives, three different buildings, all doable in a single raid if you know exactly where to go. This guide walks you through each location step by step.

Waking the Grid quest objectives at a glance

Before heading into Spaceport, here's the full list of what you need to accomplish:

  1. Activate the security sensors in one of the Guard Towers
  2. Start the Security Control Center in the Departure Building
  3. Search for traces of a security breach in the Arrival Building Data Office

You don't have to finish all three in one session, but the buildings are close enough together that completing everything in a single run is very realistic. Bring five Batteries before dropping in, according to Destructoid's walkthrough, as they make the process smoother.

How to activate the security sensors in the Guard Tower

Head to the Fuel Lines point of interest first. From there, look east along the perimeter wall and you'll spot a Guard Tower building. This particular tower, located east of Fuel Lines and west of Control Tower A6, is the easiest one to reach and the one most guides consistently recommend.

Once inside:

  • Find the zipline inside the tower and ride it to the top floor
  • Turn left after reaching the top control room
  • Look for a console with blinking lights near the window
  • Interact with it to activate the security sensors

How to start the Security Control Center in the Departure Building

The Departure Building sits northwest of the Guard Tower, just across the Fuel Lines. It's a short trip.

To find the Security Control Center:

  • Enter through the southern door (look for the "B1" marker on the wall as a reference point)
  • Walk past the long desk inside
  • Take a left, continue forward, then take another left
  • The Security Control Center is against the back wall of that first room on your left
  • Look for a terminal desk with red blinking lights and a faint pinging sound
  • Interact with it to bring the sensor grid online

The console looks identical to the one in the Guard Tower, so if you spot a blinking red terminal, you're in the right place.

How to find the security breach in the Arrival Building Data Office

The Arrival Building is another short move northwest from the Departure Building. Follow the perimeter wall around and you'll reach it quickly.

What to do once inside:

  • Enter through the main entrance
  • Turn left at the main desk
  • Walk a short distance and take a right — look for a Data Office sign on the wall
  • The Data Office door requires a breach to open
  • Once inside, go to the far left corner of the room
  • Find the cluster of computers and interact with the prompt to cut the wires

You'll hear an alarm going off with a flashing red light above the doorway as you approach. That's your confirmation you're in the right spot.

What are the rewards for completing Waking the Grid?

Finish all three objectives and you'll receive the following from Shani:

The Tactical Mk.3 (Revival) is the standout here. The built-in Defibrillator with a 240-second cooldown gives you a meaningful self-revive option, and the augment also provides a slow passive health regeneration. For solo players especially, that's a genuinely useful reward rather than filler.

Can you complete Waking the Grid solo?

Yes, and it's straightforward enough that most players won't need a squad. The three objectives are spread across adjacent buildings, none of the interactions require holding a position for extended time, and the main risk is enemy encounters at each site. Clear enemies before interacting, use the zipline in the Guard Tower efficiently, and the whole run takes under ten minutes once you know the route.

The quest does not need to be finished in a single session either, so if you get wiped after the first or second objective, your progress carries over.
