Head to Red Lakes on the eastern side of Dam Battlegrounds to find Apricots in ARC Raiders. Search the small islands for fruit trees, collect anything beneath them, and interact with the trunks to knock down more fruit.

Red Lakes is the best starting point for solo farming because its trees are close together and it draws less traffic than Olive Grove or Marano Park. You still need to protect your haul, so bring a loadout with a Safe Pocket if your augment supports one.

Update context: ARC Raiders, Frozen Trail. Loot locations and upgrade requirements may change with later updates.

How do you farm Apricots at Red Lakes?

Red Lakes gives you a compact gathering area without the heavy competition associated with Blue Gate's Olive Grove. Its fruit trees are scattered across the islands, so concentrate your search there rather than wandering through the surrounding open ground.

Prepare a loadout that protects your fruit

Use a custom loadout with an augment that provides a Safe Pocket. Apricots stored there survive your death, which makes a failed extraction less painful when you are gathering upgrade materials.

Free loadouts do not include a Safe Pocket. They leave your Apricots exposed to the same risk as the rest of your regular inventory.

Once you load into Dam Battlegrounds, open your map and mark Red Lakes. That waypoint keeps your gathering run focused on the eastern islands.

Search beneath trees, then interact with them

Apricots appear beneath small fruit trees and bushes. Look for the compact trees with green and yellow foliage, but check trees displaying Lemons too, since Apricots can drop from those as well.

At each fruit tree:

  • Collect any Apricots already lying around its base.
  • Approach the trunk and interact with it to perform a kick.
  • Pick up any additional fruit that falls.
  • Continue to the next nearby tree if the first produces nothing.

Kick trees for extra Apricots

Fruit availability changes between raids. A tree can have ground loot, produce fruit when kicked, or give you nothing, so work through the surrounding trees before abandoning the patch.

Extract without turning the run into a fight

Red Lakes is quieter than the popular groves, but the ground outside its islands has little cover. Once you have useful fruit secured, check your map for an extraction rather than stretching the run into a trip through busier areas.

Which other Apricot locations are worth checking?

Use the table below to choose an alternative based on where you are already playing. Red Lakes remains the first choice for a dedicated solo run; the other locations make more sense when your spawn or another objective puts you nearby.

Blue Gate: Olive Grove and Village

Olive Grove can provide Apricots, Lemons, and Olives in the same area. Search the ground between its fruit trees as carefully as the trees themselves, since loose fruit can already be waiting beneath them.

The trade-off is PvP pressure. Olive Grove attracts Raiders gathering the same materials, and players can also camp the area to ambush farmers. Choose it if you need several fruit types and are prepared for that competition.

Village offers another option on Blue Gate. If you spawn nearby, harvest its fruit trees before moving toward extraction, but watch for other Raiders passing through the area.

Buried City: Marano Park and residential baskets

Marano Park, between Library and Town Hall, has grouped fruit trees that make it an efficient place to search. The problem is everything around those trees: player traffic, surrounding buildings, and nearby ARC patrols.

Wasps and Hornets are among the threats in the area, while heavier machines such as Bastions and Bombardiers can turn gathering into a much larger fight. Marano Park is best for an equipped squad or a player already prepared to handle Buried City, rather than someone planning a quiet fruit run.

If the park is too dangerous or its trees give you nothing, search Wicker Baskets in residential areas. Grandioso Apartments and Santa Maria Houses are useful places to check, though basket contents are random.

Spaceport: treat Apricots as a detour

On Spaceport, check the car park behind Arrival Building and the trees between Container Storage and East Plains Warehouses. Staff Parking is another fruit-tree location to inspect when your route takes you there.

Spaceport has fewer fruit trees than the dedicated gathering areas, and its useful patches sit near routes used by other players. Pick up Apricots while completing another objective here, rather than choosing Spaceport specifically to farm them.

Riven Tides and Pendola Pass

On Riven Tides, start with Dried Riverbed. It is the main Apricot gathering area to check and offers a quieter alternative to the contested groves.

On Pendola Pass, search around Frozen River for Apricot patches. The river's open terrain leaves you exposed, so keep that visibility in mind while gathering.

How many Apricots does Scrappy need?

Scrappy needs 15 Apricots across two upgrades: 3 for level 3 and 12 for level 5. If you have already completed the level 3 upgrade, your remaining Apricot target for level 5 is 12.

The level 3 upgrade also requires 3 Lemons. Because the two fruits occur in similar areas, use the Lemons and Apricots farming guide if you want to collect both during the same trip.

Scrappy gathers resources while you are out on raids, and upgrading Scrappy improves that passive collection. Those gathered resources remain useful even when your own extraction goes badly, which is a good reason to reserve upgrade fruit before selling surplus.

Apricots stack to 10 and weigh 0.2 kg each. You can also eat one to restore 20 stamina with a 1-second use time, but save the fruit for Scrappy if you are still working toward either upgrade.

Pro tips: how can you improve Apricot farming?

Prioritize Lush Blooms when it is active

Check the active World Modifiers before choosing your raid. Lush Blooms increases Nature loot, including Apricots and Lemons, making it a good opportunity to gather upgrade fruit.

Look for Wicker Baskets during Lush Blooms as well as fruit trees. The event makes these baskets more common, and they can contain several types of fruit and other natural materials.

Track Scrappy's upgrade materials

Open Workshop, interact with Scrappy, and use the training option to track the materials you need. Tracked items receive a diamond marker, helping you notice Apricots in the world and inside containers.

Tracking is especially useful in mixed-fruit areas such as Olive Grove, where Apricots, Lemons, and Olives can all appear around the same trees.

Collect other upgrade plants when you find them

Mixed Nature patches can also contain Mushrooms, Olives, and Prickly Pears. Scrappy's level 4 upgrade needs 6 Olives and 6 Prickly Pears, while level 5 needs 12 Mushrooms alongside its Apricots, so keep those targets in mind during your gathering runs.

If Candleberries are your next resource target, use the Candleberry farming locations guide to plan that trip separately.

Common mistakes: what wastes Apricot farming runs?

  • Leaving after collecting only ground fruit. Interacting with a fruit tree can knock down additional Apricots.
  • Ignoring trees that display Lemons. Those trees can also produce Apricots, so inspect them rather than judging the harvest by appearance alone.
  • Taking a free loadout and expecting protected storage. Free loadouts have no Safe Pocket, leaving your gathered fruit at risk if you die.
  • Choosing Olive Grove for a quiet run. Its mixed-fruit supply attracts competing farmers and ambushers. Red Lakes is the better starting point for lower-pressure solo gathering.
  • Selling Apricots before planning Scrappy's upgrades. The level 5 requirement alone is 12, so your first successful harvest may still be short of what you need.
  • Expecting identical results every raid. Apricot availability varies. Bank what you collect and return for another run if a patch is empty.

Apricot farming FAQ

What is the best Apricot location for solo players?

Red Lakes on the east side of Dam Battlegrounds is the best starting point. Its island trees are relatively close together, and the area draws less player traffic than Olive Grove or Marano Park.

Can you find Apricots without harvesting trees?

Yes. Apricots can already be lying beneath fruit trees, and Wicker Baskets can contain them. On Buried City, check baskets in Grandioso Apartments and Santa Maria Houses.

Why does a fruit tree give you nothing?

Fruit availability varies between raids, and some trees have no harvest during your current run. Check the ground, interact with the trunk, and move to another tree if nothing drops.

Do Apricots survive if you die?

Apricots placed in a Safe Pocket survive your death. Fruit left in regular inventory is lost, and free loadouts do not provide a Safe Pocket.

Where can you plan your next resource run?

Once your Apricots are secured, choose your next upgrade material or quest target in the ARC Raiders guide collection.
