Triboulet is one of Balatro's five Legendary Jokers, and it scales harder than almost anything else in the game. Every King and Queen you score delivers X2 Mult each, so a single five-card hand loaded with scoring royalty can multiply your score by massive amounts before any other Joker even activates. The downside? You can only obtain Triboulet by drawing it from a Soul Spectral card, which itself has only a 0.3% chance to appear in any given Spectral or Arcana Pack. When it appears, you commit to the build immediately.
Triboulet Legendary Joker card
Triboulet activates On Scored, which means it fires for every King or Queen that contributes to the scoring of your played hand. Each one independently applies X2 Mult to your running total. Play a five-card hand where all five cards are scoring Kings and Queens, and you get a base multiplier of X32 Mult from Triboulet alone.
That number becomes the foundation for everything else you stack on top. Triboulet costs $20 at face value but cannot be found in the shop — it sells for $10 if you need to cash out.
Retriggers are the single most impactful upgrade you can add to a Triboulet build. Pairing Triboulet with Sock and Buskin (which retriggers all played face cards) transforms a five-card hand of scoring Kings and Queens from X32 Mult to X1024 Mult. Each retrigger doubles the multiplier again for every face card in hand. That scaling is unmatched by any other single Joker addition. More scoring cards in a hand means more Triboulet triggers. Aim for these hand types:

Smaller hands like High Card or a single Pair give you far fewer triggers and are not recommended unless you are in an early-game emergency.
Flush Five with five Kings scored
Most starting decks work fine since they all begin with the same number of Kings and Queens. However, a few stand out:
Avoid the Abandoned Deck entirely. It starts with no face cards, leaving Triboulet with nothing to trigger on.
Building toward a deck full of Kings and Queens takes active effort. These consumables speed things up considerably:
DNA is a Rare Effect Joker that permanently adds a copy of a card to your deck when you play a single-card first hand in a round. This pairs with Triboulet in a specific but powerful way: use DNA to duplicate your best Kings and Queens, then play hands packed with those duplicates for maximum Triboulet triggers.

DNA Joker duplicates face cards
When combining DNA with Vampire (which strips enhancements from scored cards), place DNA to the left of Vampire in your Joker row. This ensures DNA copies the card before Vampire removes its enhancement, preserving the modifier on the duplicate.
Not every Joker belongs in a Triboulet build. A few actively conflict:
The Pareidolia Joker (which makes all cards count as face cards) can partially resolve the Baron and Reserved Parking conflicts by giving you alternative face cards to hold, but it does not solve the fundamental tension with Shoot the Moon.
The Plant is the most dangerous Boss Blind for Triboulet runs. It debuffs face cards, which means your Queens and Kings stop triggering Triboulet entirely for that blind. This can be a run-ender if you have no backup scoring options and no Chicot to disable the blind effect.
Additionally, The Needle (limits you to one hand) and The Psychic (forces five-card plays) create awkward situations if your hand construction is not ready for those constraints.
