How does Weapon Prestige work in MW4?
Weapon Prestige opens once a gun hits its max level. The process is optional and works gun by gun, completely independent of your player Prestige. Here's the full sequence:
- Level the weapon through Multiplayer or DMZ play to earn Weapon XP.
- Reach Max Level. The game then offers the Weapon Prestige option. It does not trigger automatically.
