Disney Dreamlight Valley - How to Craft Sugar Cookie Pavement (Regular & Deluxe)

Sugar Cookie Pavement is one of those Disney Dreamlight Valley Star Path duties that catches players off guard. Unlike cooking tasks or friendship missions, this one asks you to craft a path type that most players have never touched before. The recipe unlocks only after you cook Candy first, which is the part that trips everyone up. Here's exactly how to get it done.

What is Sugar Cookie Pavement?

Sugar Cookie Pavement is a craftable path type in Disney Dreamlight Valley. There are two versions available: the standard Sugar Cookie Pavement and the Deluxe Sugar Cookie Pavement. Both share the same base design. The only visual difference is that the deluxe version includes a decorative border around each tile, while the standard version does not. Either variant works for the Pop City Star Path duty, so pick whichever look fits your valley.

What ingredients do you need to craft Sugar Cookie Pavement?

Here's where things get specific. You do not craft Sugar Cookie Pavement directly from raw ingredients. The recipe calls for cooked Candy, not raw materials. You need to cook Candy first at any cooking station, then take that cooked dish to a crafting station.

How to cook Candy

Candy is made by placing any single sweet ingredient into a cooking station pot. There is no minimum star rating required. The following ingredients all qualify:

  • Agave
  • Blue Marshmallow
  • Cocoa Bean
  • Festive Cocoa Bean
  • Honey Coral
  • Pink Marshmallow
  • Sugarcane
  • Vanilla
tip
Sugarcane is one of the easiest sweet ingredients to farm in bulk. If you have a large crop already growing, use that to batch-cook Candy quickly before heading to the crafting station.

Once you have at least one cooked Candy in your inventory, the Sugar Cookie Pavement recipe will appear in the crafting station menu. If the recipe is missing, it means you have not cooked any Candy yet.

How to craft Sugar Cookie Pavement step by step

  1. Cook at least one Candy at any cooking station using a sweet ingredient from the list above.
  2. Visit any crafting station in your valley.
  3. Scroll down to the Paths category, located at the bottom of the crafting menu below the Landscaping section.
  4. Select either Sugar Cookie Pavement or Deluxe Sugar Cookie Pavement.
  5. Choose how many you want to craft and confirm.
important
The crafting recipe for Sugar Cookie Pavement will not appear in the Paths category until you have cooked at least one Candy. Do not skip the cooking step.

How many paths do you need for the Pop City Star Path duty?

The Pop City Star Path duty asks you to craft a total of 50 Sugar Cookie Pavement or Deluxe Sugar Cookie Pavement. Both variants count toward the same total, so mix and match freely.

Since each crafting session using 2 Candy produces 4 paths, you need to run the recipe 13 times to hit 50 paths (13 x 4 = 52, which clears the requirement). That works out to roughly 26 Candy total.

Completing this duty rewards 50 Tokens in the Pop City Star Path event.

What else can you do to earn more Star Path Tokens?

Fifty Tokens from one duty is a solid start, but you will need far more to work through the full Pop City Star Path rewards track. There are plenty of other duties running alongside this one. Cooking duties are a reliable source of Tokens if you want to keep things moving. Check out the guide on how to cook with Pumpkin or Corn for another fast completion, or knock out the duty covered in the treat a friend a Pumpkin meal guide to earn Tokens by gifting dishes to villagers.

tip
Crafting duties and cooking duties can often be completed in parallel. Batch-cook your Candy for the pavement duty at the same time you prep ingredients for any active cooking duties to save time.
