What DLC has been released so far?

Hero of Justice Pack (DLC 1)

The Hero of Justice Pack was the first major paid DLC drop. It launched on PC and consoles first, then arrived on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 20, 2026, alongside the Victory Pack and Martial Arts Pack. Switch players had to wait a bit longer than other platforms, but all three packs landed simultaneously when they did.

Dragon Ball DAIMA Character Packs

The Dragon Ball DAIMA content is split across two character packs. Character Pack 2 was announced to add six new fighters to the roster, with early access opening on September 21, 2025. A full announcement confirmed the six-fighter lineup before that window opened.

Looking ahead, both Dragon Ball DAIMA Character Pack 1 and Character Pack 2 are scheduled for release on June 27, 2026, alongside Shallot from Dragon Ball Legends as a separate addition.

What free updates have been added?

Sparking Zero has received several free updates that apply to all players regardless of edition.

May 26, 2026 update

A free update rolled out on May 26, 2026 at 8:00 UTC, timed alongside the announcement of the upcoming DAIMA packs. This update adjusted game modes and features ahead of the June DLC window.

April 21, 2026 patch

The April 21, 2026 patch went live at 8:00 UTC, with maintenance scheduled from 8:00 to 9:30 UTC during the rollout. Patch notes covered adjustments to game modes and features.

February 19, 2026 patch

This update focused on game modes and feature adjustments, released just before the Switch DLC launch on February 20. The timing suggests it laid groundwork for the Nintendo platform content.

December 15, 2025 patch

The December 15, 2025 update went live at 8:00 AM UTC. Bandai Namco flagged this as a quality-of-life improvement pass, asking players to apply the update before playing for the best experience.

September 22, 2025 patch

This patch dropped alongside the Dragon Ball DAIMA Character Pack 2 early access window. Content updates and game adjustments were bundled together, which is a pattern the team has used consistently across multiple releases.

What's happening with Ranked Matches?

The current Ranked Match period runs through June 30, 2026 at 8:00 UTC. At the end of that window, players receive titles based on their final rank as Season 0 rewards. This is the first formal ranked season, so the titles earned here will be exclusive to players who participated during this period.

After June 30, a new ranked period is expected to begin, though specific details for Season 1 structure haven't been confirmed yet.

When did Sparking Zero come to Nintendo Switch?

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero arrived on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on November 14, 2025, in Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate Editions. The Switch version launched after the original PC and console release, which is why the DLC timeline for Switch runs slightly behind other platforms.
