EA Sports FC 27 Season 2 launched on October 22, 2026, and it's called FC Heritage for a reason. The theme celebrates iconic Ultimate Team moments and community favourites from past editions, with 16 FC Heritage player items spread across a 30-level Season Pass that runs until December 3. Here's the short answer: the free track ends with Allan Saint-Maximin, the Premium track ends with Marcus Rashford, and Fridolina Rolfö at Level 25 is the strongest general-purpose target on the standard route.

What is FC Heritage and when does it end?

FC Heritage honours memorable FUT campaigns, squad staples, and community-favourite player items from previous editions. EA describes the season as inspired by the Hall of FUT feature introduced in FC 27, which recognises legendary past players. You can read more about that system in our EA FC 27 Hall of FUT guide.

The season runs for six weeks. Season Points (SP) reset completely when Season 3 begins on December 3, so any progress you fail to convert into a claimed reward is gone. Plan your target level before the final week, not during it.

Standard track: which players are worth targeting?

Fridolina Rolfö (Level 25) is the clearest target on the free route. Her 85-rated FC Heritage card adds CM, CDM, and CAM eligibility to the wider positions on her base Gold card. With 88 short passing, 84 defensive awareness, and 82 standing tackle, she functions as a genuine midfield option rather than a cosmetic upgrade. If your central midfield is weak, she fills it. If both your CMs are already better, she provides depth.

Allan Saint-Maximin (Level 30) has 90 pace, 88 dribbling, five-star skills, and a four-star weak foot. His 93 agility and 94 balance make him a strong wide option for squads that rely on beating defenders one-on-one. The trade-off is 72 finishing and 73 stamina, so he works best wide or as a substitute feeding a stronger finisher. Push to Level 30 only if that profile solves a real problem in your team.

Level 5 choice: Allan or Areola. Allan offers defensive midfield cover with good passing. Areola is a goalkeeper upgrade if you need one. Neither is a must-have, but both are free and available early enough to use throughout the season.

Level 15 choice: Kenny Lala or Jule Brand. Lala suits squads needing a right-back with attacking support. Brand provides a wide attacking option with pace and versatility. Compare their positions and chemistry links to your current squad before claiming.

Level 20 choice: Timo Werner or Silas. Werner has 92 pace, 80 shooting, and a four-star weak foot, making him a useful runner behind the defence. Silas is rated 85 OVR and plays as a striker. Your formation and attacking needs should determine which you pick.

Premium track: is 500,000 coins worth it?

The Premium Pass costs 500,000 FUT Coins or 1,000 FC Points. The Ultimate Plus Edition includes Premium Passes for Seasons 1 through 5, so check your edition before spending anything. If you upgrade mid-season, all Premium rewards at levels you've already reached become claimable immediately.

The mistake most players make is buying Premium for a single card. The pass only pays off when multiple Premium rewards would enter your starting XI.

David de Gea (Level 15) improves diving from 81 to 85 and reflexes from 85 to 88. That's a meaningful goalkeeper upgrade, but not a reason alone to spend 500,000 coins.

Nabil Fekir (Level 20) offers 84 passing and 87 dribbling for a central creative role. If your CAM position is a weak point, he's the most useful mid-season Premium target.

Ferland Mendy (Level 24) has 89 pace and a five-star weak foot. His 79 defending means he's a role-specific left-back upgrade, not a defensive fix. Useful if you specifically need pace and crossing from that position.

Mallory Swanson (Level 29) is rated 86 OVR, the highest on either track. Her LM position and attributes make her worth evaluating if you're already reaching Level 29 for other reasons.

Marcus Rashford (Level 30) jumps from 82 to 85 OVR, but the face-stat gains are modest:

AttributeGold cardFC HeritageChange
Pace9293+1
Shooting8384+1
Passing7880+2
Dribbling8182+1
Physical6871+3

He keeps five-star skills and a three-star weak foot. Balance rises from 69 to 74 and stamina from 70 to 78, which helps his consistency across a full match. He's a reasonable reward for a fan squad or for players completing Premium for Fekir and Mendy anyway. Spending 500,000 coins specifically to replace a productive current winger with him doesn't hold up.

How to earn SP efficiently and reach Level 30

What SP routes are available?

SP comes from three sources: match play in Ultimate Team, Objectives, and (on supported platforms) Career Mode and The Grounds. Match play pays 15–100 SP per eligible match depending on result and mode, capped at 850 SP per day. Objectives provide a separate pool of SP on top of that daily cap.

The Grounds objectives are available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. PS4 and Xbox One players cannot earn SP through The Grounds but can still claim pass rewards. If you're on an older platform, build your routine around Ultimate Team and Career Mode objectives.

Daily and weekly objective stacking

Before your first match each session, open Objectives and check which SP tasks are active. The key habit is identifying two or more objectives that qualify from the same match, then setting up a squad that meets all their conditions before kicking off.

The daily objective pair typically awards 30 SP in a single match if you score twice: 10 SP for playing one FUT match, 10 SP for scoring two goals, and a 10 SP bonus for completing both. That's a reliable floor for each session.

Weekly objectives add more SP but require checking their specific mode, difficulty, and scorer conditions. Don't replay matches without confirming your counters actually moved after the first attempt.

Pace targets: can you reach Level 25 or Level 30?

Level 25 (Rolfö) requires 25,000 SP across six weeks. Level 30 (Saint-Maximin or Rashford) requires 30,000 SP. Starting from zero with four sessions per week gives you 24 sessions total.

  • Level 25 pace: roughly 4,200 SP by end of week 1, then ~4,200 per subsequent week.
  • Level 30 pace: 5,000 SP per week across all six weeks.

Daily objectives alone won't get you there. You need match SP and weekly objective completions alongside them. Check your actual SP gain after your first week and adjust. If you're behind pace for Level 30, drop that target first and protect Level 25. If Level 25 also looks out of reach, Werner at Level 20 is a realistic fallback.

What else arrives in Season 2?

FC Heritage Circuit

The FC Heritage Circuit connects five single-player Live Events, each unlocking as you complete the previous stage. The progression runs through a Kick Off Event, then Ultimate Scream on Semi-Pro difficulty, Hall of FUT: Unleashed on Professional, Thunderstruck on World Class, and a three-round final tournament that ends on Legendary difficulty. Rewards include FC Heritage player items (including Alexis Sanchez and Jeremiah St Juste), coins, and untradeable packs.

Daily Knockout Tournament

The PvP Daily Knockout Tournament returns for Season 2. You compete against other players in knockout rounds each week, with an FC Heritage player item, coins, and untradeable packs available as weekly rewards. Check the event tile in-game for entry rules and reset timing.

Season 2 adds over 60 new Gallery sets, including League and Club sets for MLS, NWSL, and the Roshn Saudi League. Completing sets advances your Gallery Level and unlocks Season 2 rewards. Before spending coins on missing cards, calculate whether the total set cost is lower than the reward's value. Market prices on specific cards can spike when a popular set goes live, so check current listings rather than assuming cards are cheap.

Common mistakes that waste your season

MistakeBetter approach
Grinding past the 850 SP daily capStop match play once the cap hits and focus on objectives
Buying Premium for Rashford aloneOnly upgrade when Fekir and Mendy would both start
Picking a player by OVR without checking positionsVerify position eligibility and chemistry fit first
Not checking objective counters after each matchConfirm progress moved before playing another game
Assuming every Heritage card is a Season Pass rewardSome cards (Carmona, St Juste) come from Circuit and Knockout events, not the ladder

FAQ

Does SP carry over into Season 3?

No. EA resets SP and reward levels at the start of each new season. Any points you don't convert into a claimed reward before December 3 are gone.

Can you upgrade to Premium mid-season?

Yes. Upgrading while the season is active unlocks all Premium rewards at levels you've already reached. Compare what's immediately claimable against the 500,000 coin cost before confirming.

What's the best free-track player in Season 2?

Fridolina Rolfö at Level 25. Her FC Heritage card adds CM, CDM, and CAM eligibility to her Gold card's positional options, and her 88 short passing and 84 defensive awareness make her a functional central midfielder rather than just a positional curiosity.

Where do you claim Season Pass rewards?

Open FC Hub, select Season, highlight the unlocked reward, and choose Claim. If the item doesn't appear in your club afterward, check the relevant mode's inventory and restart the game before contacting EA Help.

What promos arrive during Season 2?

Ultimate Scream launched on October 23 alongside the Heritage Circuit. UEFA Road to the Knockouts, Black Friday: Thunderstruck, and Hall of FUT: Unleashed are all scheduled for Season 2. Check the Season 2 Heritage start date and pass rewards guide for a full timeline of what's confirmed.
