Cloud Strife - Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth ...

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launched on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC on June 3, 2026, bringing one of the most expansive JRPG games of the past few years to Microsoft's platform. The game is spectacular, but its achievement list is genuinely demanding, clocking in at 61 total achievements worth 1,257 Gamerscore. Going in blind is a recipe for frustration. Here's everything you need to know before you start.

How long does it take to complete FF7 Rebirth on Xbox?

Plan for well over 150 hours without using any of the new assist options. The main reason the completion time is so high is that you need to finish the story twice: once on Easy or Normal, and then again on the unlockable Hard difficulty. That second run is where most players hit a wall, since Hard Mode restricts item usage and demands a much stronger grasp of combat mechanics.

The Xbox version does have one major advantage over the original PS5 and Steam releases: Streamlined Progression. These optional settings, added specifically for the Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 launch, mirror the assist options that appeared in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. They let you toggle things like Constant Max Damage and Constant Max HP, which makes Hard Mode significantly more approachable.

What is the 7-Star Hotel achievement?

This is the achievement that will eat the most of your time. Unlocking 7-Star Hotel requires collecting 88 unique collectibles across the entire game. The bulk of these come from completing side quest chains, minigames, and optional activities scattered across every region.

For any activity that has a scoring system, you need to hit S-rank to count it toward the total. The one exception is the piano segments, where an A-rank is enough. That's a small mercy, since the piano minigame has a steeper skill ceiling than it first appears.

The five optional romance partners are also tied to this achievement. Each partner has a unique scene at the Golden Saucer, and you need to see all five to complete the collectible set. The good news is that after beating the game once, you can simply select which partner you want to view rather than replaying the full charm progression for each one.

Are any achievements missable in FF7 Rebirth?

No. The Chapter Select feature means every achievement remains accessible after the fact. This is genuinely important to know going in, because it removes the pressure of treating your first playthrough as a completionist sprint.

The recommended approach is to enjoy the story on your first run and pick up whatever side content feels fun in the moment. Anything that feels like a chore can be mopped up via Chapter Select later. Most side quests remain accessible by jumping back to Chapter 13, which covers a large portion of the optional content.

How do Queen's Blood achievements work?

The in-game card game Queen's Blood connects to several achievements, including a dedicated story segment in Chapter 5. Investing in it early pays off. Play matches against key NPCs as you encounter them to build and improve your deck. Skipping these early matches can leave you under-prepared for later Queen's Blood challenges tied to achievements.

What's the best approach for a first-time player?

Take the story at your own pace. The Chapter Select safety net means there is no scenario where you lock yourself out of the platinum equivalent. Enjoy Queen's Blood matches as you find them, repair chocobo stops when they appear, and gather world intel organically during exploration. Save the min-maxing for your second run.

For the Hard Mode playthrough, Streamlined Progression transforms what was originally a demanding second run into something far more manageable. Toggle Constant Max HP and Constant Max Damage once you've already experienced the story the way it was meant to be played.
