Forza Horizon 6 car list: Everything ...

The Blast from the Past challenge is Forza Horizon 6's opening Festival objective for the new Horizon Decades season, and it puts one of the most recognizable cars in pop culture history at the center of everything. Four tasks, one iconic vehicle, and a 25,000 credit reward waiting at the finish line. Here's how to knock it out without wasting time.

What is the Blast from the Past challenge?

Blast from the Past is a weekly Festival objective tied to the Horizon Decades season in Forza Horizon 6. It revolves entirely around the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12, the gull-winged classic made famous by the Back to the Future franchise. Completing all four tasks earns you 25,000 credits and festival points, which count toward your season progression. The challenge is live now and runs alongside the rest of this week's playlist content.

How to complete all four Blast from the Past tasks

Task 1: Own and drive the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12

If the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 is already sitting in your garage, just take it for a quick drive and this task ticks off automatically. No specific destination required. If you don't own it yet, head to the Autoshow and pick it up for 72,000 credits. Once purchased, drive it anywhere on the map and the first task completes.

Task 2: Maintain a speed of 142 km/h or above for 10 seconds

This one is straightforward but does require a bit of road planning. Find a long straight stretch anywhere on the map, build up your speed past 142 km/h, and hold it there for a full 10 seconds. The DeLorean DMC-12 handles this without upgrades, so don't feel pressured to tune the car before attempting it. Highways and long coastal roads work well. Avoid tight areas where traffic or corners might force you to brake before the timer completes.

Task 3: Take a photo of your 1982 DeLorean DMC-12

Open Photo Mode by pressing P on keyboard (or the equivalent button on your controller), frame the DeLorean in the shot, and take the picture. Any angle works. You don't need to meet any specific composition requirements or location criteria. Snap the photo and the task completes immediately.

Task 4: Win a Road Race in the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12

Open your map and look for any Road Race event marker. Select one, drive to the starting point, and enter the race in the DeLorean. You need to finish first to complete this task. The DeLorean isn't the fastest car in the game, but Road Race AI difficulty on standard settings is manageable. If you want an easier run, look for shorter Road Race events with fewer competitors.

Is the DeLorean worth keeping after the challenge?

The 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 isn't a meta-defining performance car, but it's genuinely fun to drive and has obvious novelty appeal. At 72,000 credits it's not a throwaway purchase, so keeping it in your garage for future photo challenges or casual cruising makes sense. The Horizon Decades season has more tasks rolling out over the next several weeks, and owning a variety of cars from different eras tends to pay off as new objectives appear.
