GTA Online Kortz Center Heist Scope Out Guide: All Entry Points

The Kortz Center Heist is Grand Theft Auto V's final major GTA Online update before GTA 6 lands, and it follows the same recon-first blueprint as the Diamond Casino and Cayo Perico heists. Before you can crack this art museum open, you need to complete a full scope-out mission: sneak into the security room, cycle through camera feeds to identify targets, photograph all four entry points, and document a handful of equipment locations. Skip any of these steps and your planning board stays incomplete. This guide walks through every objective in order so you can finish the recon in a single visit.

How do you reach the Kortz Center security room undetected?

Getting caught at any point during the scope-out will get you ejected from the museum. Repeat offenses send you back to your mansion entirely, so patience here saves a lot of wasted travel time.

The security room is accessed through a staff-only door located next to the large mountain portrait on the ground floor. Guards and cameras both patrol this area, so the approach matters:

1. Position yourself near the staff-only door and wait for the nearby guard to move away.
2. Watch the camera above the door and wait for it to rotate to the opposite side.
3. Slip through the door the moment both the guard and camera are facing away.
4. Inside, follow the corridor to the only open door.
5. A guard is monitoring the area beyond that door. Take him out with a melee attack before he raises an alert.
6. Approach the computer displaying the Kortz wallpaper and press E to upload Haviland AI to the security system.

How do you access the cameras and scope out the primary target?

With Haviland AI uploaded, the computer becomes your window into the entire museum. This is where you identify La Dernière Débauche, the primary target for the heist.

1. Return to the Kortz wallpaper computer and press E again to open the camera feed.
2. Cycle through the available cameras until you locate La Dernière Débauche painting.
3. Switch specifically to the Vault 91/5SF2 camera and rotate the view to the right to get a clear look at the artwork.
4. The primary target objective completes automatically once the painting is in frame.

What secondary targets can you scope out in Kortz Center?

Beyond the primary painting, the camera feed lets you tag secondary artworks that become stealable during the heist itself. Two worth zooming in on while cycling through feeds are With Friends Like These and Het Gouden Hondje.

Once you step away from the computer, you can physically walk through the museum to photograph additional exhibits. The first floor holds pieces like Kircher's Cooked and S.P. Carroll's The Great Circle Back. None of these are mandatory for completing the scope-out, but tagging them now gives you more flexibility when planning the actual heist run.

There are four entry points that need to be documented before the scope-out mission registers as complete.

• Staff Entrance: Ground floor, right outside the museum. Walk up to it and photograph it directly.
• Loading Bay: Scoped automatically when you browse the security camera feed from the computer.
• Sewer: Located in the middle of the maze area outside the Kortz Center. Navigate the maze to find it and take a photo.
• Skylight: On the rooftop. Climb up and photograph it to complete this entry point.

All equipment and optional prep locations

Equipment locations are optional but completing them during the scope-out fills in prep work on your planning board, saving you separate missions later.

The rooftop handles two pieces of equipment at once: the radio tower for Guard Routes and the electrical box between the air ducts for EMP Charges. Since you're already up there for the Skylight entry point, photograph both before climbing back down. The Glass Cutter is inside the museum near a display case containing a skull, so grab that shot before you exit.

What happens after you finish the scope-out?

Once all mandatory entry points are photographed and the primary target is confirmed, the scope-out mission completes. You're sent back to your mansion where the planning board updates with everything you documented. From there, you can review which optional prep missions are already done thanks to your thorough recon and decide which remaining missions to tackle before running the heist itself.
