The locked door beneath Marrow Keep is one of those moments where Mortal Shell II gives you zero hints and expects you to figure it out. Three unlit braziers, a door that won't budge, and a whole dungeon zone between you and the answer. The flames you need are scattered across three specific beacons inside The Unfound Path, and this guide covers exactly where each one is and what you get for your trouble.
What unlocks the path to the three flames door?
Before any of this becomes relevant, you need to have progressed far enough through the main story. The objective in Mortal Shell 2 is clearing the Corrupt Gates, each a large dungeon with beacons to cleanse and a boss waiting at the end. Once you collect the required Ova and meet the conditions for the final area, a cutscene inside Marrow Keep opens a route beneath the Keep itself.
Following that route leads you to a Trial and then to the locked door flanked by three dark braziers. Clear the Trial, then use the Bone Gates to reach the tethered Beacon ahead. From there, you can go left or right, but you will need to explore both sides eventually to remove the tethering. Three of the eight beacons in The Unfound Path hold the flames you need.
Where to find all three flames in The Unfound Path

Flame 1: Obsidian Vault
Enter the Obsidian Vault beacon and cleanse it while working through the Temple of Obscenity. You will encounter an enemy carrying the Obsidian Hammer early on. Defeat it, then turn left to reach a large open area covered in shallow water that you can walk across freely.
The first flame sits beside a statue on the far left side of this flooded section. Before heading there, be aware that spider-like enemies patrol the area. They close distance fast and have a grab attack that strips a significant chunk of health, so deal with them before you start poking around the statue.
Flame 2: Empty Cradle
The Empty Cradle beacon contains the Temple of Finality. Clear the enemies in the opening area and push into the next section. You will see a group of enemies fighting each other on the left side of the room. Ignore them.
Instead, look right for a small gap in the wall you can squeeze through. This side passage leads into another area with its own enemies, so clear those out before pressing forward. The second flame waits at the end of this hidden passage.

Flame 3: Faithful's Shelter
Head into Faithful's Shelter and go straight until you find a lift. Ride it down into the Temple of Rebirth. As you enter, look left for a wall switch surrounded by enemies. Defeat the enemies, then activate the switch.
The switch reveals a previously sealed door behind the lift room. Inside, you will find Dorsalite, Ventrium, and the third and final flame.

What do you get for opening the three flames door?
Once all three flames are lit, return to the door beneath Marrow Keep. It opens on its own, no interaction required. Inside the room is a single enemy to dispatch before you can loot two chests.
Paradoxical Scripture is specifically used to cure the Stasis status effect, making it a genuinely useful reward rather than filler loot. Stasis can lock you out of actions at the worst moments, so having a stockpile of the cure before you push deeper into the endgame is worth the effort.
