1win Team have secured direct qualification for Stage 2 of the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) Major after winning Moscow Cyber Games 2026. The team defeated HOTU 2-0 in the grand final on November 1, claiming the championship title and $98,000 (RUB 8 million) in prize money.

The grand final saw 1win deliver a strong performance across both maps. The team secured a 13-9 victory on Anubis before closing out the series with a 13-11 win on Dust2. The result marks another significant milestone for the organization's recently assembled CS2 roster, which has quickly established itself among the leading teams in the competitive scene.

Following the victory, 1win Team captain Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov discussed the significance of the achievement and the work behind the team's rapid progress.

"Winning Moscow Cyber Games means much more to us than just a trophy. We are the roster built from the ground up, and not many people in the industry believed we could reach this level so quickly. But as a team, we put in the work, stayed focused on our goals, and trusted each other throughout our training camps and official matches," nafany said.

He also highlighted the importance of securing a direct place in the Major's second stage, adding: "Now we're heading straight to Stage 2 of the Major, and that's exactly where we want to be. This is only the beginning, and we're hungry for more."

1win Team Continue Their Rise in Counter-Strike 2

The Moscow Cyber Games 2026 championship is the latest achievement in what has been a rapid rise for 1win Team. The roster has already attracted international attention following its performance at ESL Pro League Season 24, where it recorded a 2-0 victory over Team Spirit in one of the tournament's biggest upsets.

The team continued its strong run with additional victories against G2 and Legacy, finishing the group stage with a 3-1 record and securing a place in the playoffs.

The victory over Team Spirit also earned the players a $100,000 bonus from 1win's owner, providing further recognition of the roster's performance on the international stage.

1win's recent results are particularly notable given the circumstances behind the team's formation. The organization assembled an entirely new lineup from scratch, bringing together players looking for fresh opportunities to rebuild and advance their competitive careers.

In a relatively short period, the roster has progressed from a newly established project to an international contender. Its performances have helped it secure a position among the world's top 12 CS2 teams, while the Moscow Cyber Games victory has opened the door to further opportunities.

In addition to direct qualification for Stage 2 of the upcoming Major, the championship has secured invitations to two prestigious Tier 1 competitions: BLAST Bounty and PGL Cluj-Napoca.

What's Next for 1win Team?

With victories over established teams such as Team Spirit and G2, alongside the Moscow Cyber Games 2026 championship, 1win Team have quickly become a roster to watch in Counter-Strike 2.

The upcoming appearances at BLAST Bounty and PGL Cluj-Napoca will provide further opportunities to test the lineup against international competition. Meanwhile, direct qualification for Stage 2 of the Major gives the team an opportunity to compete on one of Counter-Strike's biggest stages without having to progress through the earlier qualification stages.

The organization is also continuing to invest in the roster's development. 1win is currently working on a dedicated training base for the team in Serbia, using the same location previously occupied by its Dota 2 bootcamp.

After building a new lineup and delivering several notable results in a short period, the team will now look to maintain its momentum as it prepares for its upcoming international commitments.
