Free loot is always worth grabbing, and Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has a handful of active codes right now that hand out cosmetics, Animus keys, and even a companion pet for Edward Kenway. The codes are live as of this week, but at least one carries an explicit warning that it won't last forever.
Every code that works right now
There are currently 2 active promo codes for Black Flag Resynced:
The first code was announced by producer Justin Ng on the official Assassin's Creed social channels, and he flagged at the time that it "will remain available for a limited redemption period." No specific end date was given, but that phrasing is a clear signal to redeem it sooner rather than later. The second code, which gets you the Shipmate Monkey Pet, has no stated expiry either, though that does not mean it will stay active indefinitely.
The 1,500 Animus keys from the first code are genuinely useful. There are enough there to unlock one of the 3 new swords added for Edward in this remaster, so it is not just a cosmetic drip.
Twitch drops and the Red Bull quiz
Beyond the direct codes, Ubisoft has set up two other reward pipelines worth knowing about.
Watching 2 cumulative hours of Black Flag Resynced content on Twitch earns you the Rustborne Swords, and pushing through to 4 hours adds a Cheetah Claw Cat Pet on top of that. Both Twitch drops expire on August 2, 2026, so there is a real deadline there. The viewing time is cumulative across sessions, so you do not need to sit through it all at once.
The Red Bull route involves completing a short quiz on the Red Bull site. There are 6 questions and you only need to answer 1 correctly, after which you submit your name and email to receive a unique code. The reward is the Wings of the Tempest Sails, and this one runs until September 30, 2026. One heads-up: the in-game message after redeeming the Red Bull code suggests the reward may not appear immediately, with a follow-up email from Red Bull confirming when it is live.
How to actually redeem the codes
The fastest route is through the in-game pause menu. From there, select the Store option in the top right corner of the screen, then hit Redeem Code in the bottom left. Enter the code and the reward drops straight into your inventory.
If that route gives you trouble (console players in particular have run into issues with it), there are two alternatives. The Ubisoft Connect app has a Key Activation option under your profile icon. The official Ubisoft redeem site also works directly. Both require a Ubisoft Connect account, so sort that out first if you have not already.
For players wanting to get more out of the game beyond free codes, the all changes guide for Black Flag Resynced breaks down every meaningful difference from the 2013 original, from reworked combat to revamped tailing missions. The Twitch drops deadline of August 2 is the most pressing date on the calendar right now, so queue up some streams and let the hours tick over.
