Blizzard has officially revealed the full patch notes for Diablo IV update 3.1.1, dropping on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. The patch targets some of the most persistent complaints from Diablo IV players since Season 14: Death Awakening launched, with Mythic item fixes leading the charge.
The Mythic drop problem finally gets addressed
Here's the thing: the biggest issue heading into this patch was a bug that completely blocked Mythic drops from Lair Bosses and certain other Unique item sources. That gets fixed in 3.1.1. Blizzard is also increasing the odds that naturally dropped Mythics roll as Iconic Mythics, which players had flagged as feeling far too rare.
Mythic crafting gets cheaper too. The Horadric Cube recipe now costs 4 Pandemonium Fragments instead of 5, a meaningful reduction for players grinding toward top-tier gear. El'druin, Sword of Justice has also been added to the Blacksmith's Mythic Cache, where it was previously absent.
Pandemonium Fragments and Lair Keys get a supply boost
Farming Pandemonium Fragments just got more forgiving. The Corrupted Reaper will now drop up to 2 Fragments per kill, with the amount scaling based on Torment level. The repeatable Glints of Hope reputation reward will also guarantee a Fragment going forward.
Superior Lair Keys were another pain point. Deathtoll Chambers will now always reward at least one Superior Lair Key at high Torment levels, removing the frustrating RNG wall that was blocking progression for a chunk of the playerbase.
Class-specific fixes across the board
Several classes pick up targeted bug fixes in this patch. Here's the lowdown on what changed:
Warlock
- Soul Shard selection now displays with improved clarity
- Brutal Aspect tooltip no longer incorrectly previews Attack Speed bonuses above 100%
- Fulcrum of Mefis Talisman Set stacks no longer drop if a dead enemy attacks your demons
- Mefis 2-Piece Set Bonus now triggers correctly
- Flesh of Abbadon 2-Piece stacks no longer remove inaccurately
Paladin
- Holy damage now displays correctly in the Stats and Materials tab
Spiritborn
- Stinger was occasionally dealing more damage than intended, now fixed
- Fiery Soul VFX issue resolved
- Wyrdskin Gloves disappearance bug patched
Barbarian
- Challenging Shout's Bawl Variant could decay faster than intended
Druid
- Storm Shepherd's Call Talisman Set was granting toggled skills more damage than intended
Rogue
- Shadow Clone was incorrectly triggering extra Shrine effects, including spawning additional Soul Eaters inside Deathtoll Chamber
General fixes rounding out the patch
Beyond class changes, patch 3.1.1 addresses a handful of general gameplay issues that had been nagging players:
- The Seasonal Reputation Board has been added to Temis
- Whispers Ambushes were occasionally failing to drop loot, now fixed
- Tower rewards were only going to one party member instead of the full group
- The Season Rank objective Terrorize The Night was not progressing correctly
- Forgotten Souls were not dropping from Whisper Caches in Torment
- Several Tower Halo display issues resolved
- Various performance, stability, clipping, and texture fixes
What most players miss in patch notes like these is how much the smaller fixes compound. Fixing Whispers loot drops and Tower rewards affects nearly every player running end-game content, not just those chasing specific builds.
With the patch landing July 14, now is a good time to plan your next push.
