Fate/EXTRA Record’s Lil’ Ronnie faction character trailer arrived on November 5, 2026, introducing two characters: Lil’ Ronnie and her Servant. Publisher Aniplex and developers Meteorise and TYPE-MOON released the video.

The character introduction is available in English and Japanese versions. It highlights Lil’ Ronnie’s unusual search and the violent speech of her knight Servant.

Who the Lil’ Ronnie trailer introduces

The two characters receive separate descriptions, with their appearances and repeated speech patterns defining their introductions:

  • Lil’ Ronnie, voiced by Yu Kobayashi, wears a clown mask and repeatedly speaks strange words. Her description reveals little about her background beyond her search for something “delicious.”
  • Lil’ Ronnie’s Servant, voiced by Hisao Egawa, is a knight who repeatedly makes violent, incoherent remarks. His blood-soaked cloak is another point of mystery: the description questions whether it represents historic battles or has some other origin.

Arco Wada handles character design for Fate/EXTRA Record. The original character concepts are credited to Takashi Takeuchi and TYPE-MOON.

A Holy Grail War inside SE.RA.PH

The story takes place in SE.RA.PH, a Spiritron virtual world created by the Moon Cell Automaton. That supercomputer is hidden on the moon, placing the conflict in a digital setting outside conventional reality.

The Moon Holy Grail War selects 128 of the world’s top hackers as Masters. Each can transform their soul into Spiritrons, and they form contracts with Servants to fight for survival. Their goal is the Holy Grail, an omnipotent wish-granting device.

Servants are the souls of legendary heroes and prominent historical figures, materialized as Spiritron life-forms. Their true names are concealed, and each belongs to one of seven classes, including Saber and Archer. The story explores the Masters’ and Servants’ pasts and hidden desires through their shared struggle.

Hakuno’s choices and deck-building battles

Players choose a male or female protagonist, canonically named Hakuno Kishinami in either case. Hakuno begins with amnesia and finds themselves caught in the Grail War. Learning about the unusual circumstances surrounding that conflict is one of their initial objectives.

The protagonist can choose from three Servants:

  1. Nero, in the Saber class.
  2. Tamamo, in the Caster class.
  3. Emiya, in the Archer class.

Combat uses a deck-building command system. Players build a deck and select commands during battles, while each contracted Servant has unique abilities.

From the PSP original to modern hardware

Fate/EXTRA Record remakes Fate/EXTRA, the first Fate series RPG, which originally launched for PSP on July 22, 2010. The remake includes an expanded scenario and refreshed character graphics alongside its revised approach to command battles.

Kinoko Nasu and TYPE-MOON are credited with the original story and scenario. Kazuya Niino of TYPE-MOON studio BB handles planning and direction.
