Three weeks before launch, Cygames just gave players a second hands-on window with Endless Ragnarok. The demo for Granblue Fantasy: Relink is live right now on the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and Steam, covering all four platforms the full game will ship on: Switch 2, PS4, PS5, and PC.
This isn't the first time Cygames has opened the doors early. An open beta ran in April 2026 specifically to stress-test network load. The new demo is a different beast, built around letting players actually experience the content rather than hammer servers.

What the demo actually contains
Both Story Mode and Quest Mode are available in the demo, which is more generous than a lot of publishers tend to offer. Here's the thing though: your save data doesn't carry over to the full game. What does carry over are rewards earned inside the demo, so the time you put in isn't wasted.
The demo also comes with some notable adjustments baked in. Seofon is available as a potential ally, and "Sephira's Sanguine Glimmer" has been rebalanced specifically for the Aquila Ruby Golem encounter. Both Story Mode and Quest Mode each offer their own separate reward pools tied to the full release.
Six new characters and three ways to get them
Endless Ragnarok adds 6 new playable characters, and how you unlock each one varies depending on who you're targeting.
- Fediel and Fraux unlock naturally through the main campaign
- Gallanza and Maglielle (two former foes now playable) require completing Hard-difficulty quests in Chapter ร
- Beatrix and Eustace are tied to Knicknack Shack Crewmate Cards
The key here is that Chapter ร is where things get serious for players who want the full roster. Gallanza and Maglielle were previously announced as playable additions, and their unlock condition puts them firmly in post-story territory.
The Conflux mode, broken down by difficulty tier
Alongside the character news, Cygames detailed The Conflux, a solo mode that opens up in Chapter 6 of Endless Ragnarok. Players need to reach Seedhollow to kick off Cycle 1, which rewards weapon-forging materials.
The mode scales with difficulty in a pretty direct way:
Cycle 3 is where the serious endgame grind lives. Maniac difficulty is no joke, and those rare Sigils and uncap materials are exactly the kind of currency that will define how far players can push their builds.
July 9 is the date to mark
Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok launches on July 9, 2026 across Switch 2, PS4, PS5, and PC. The Switch 2 version marks the first time the Relink experience hits a Nintendo platform, which is a meaningful expansion for a game that originally shipped on PlayStation and PC only.
The demo is available right now with no announced end date, so there's a solid window to try both modes and bank those full-game rewards before launch day. For players looking to prep their approach to The Conflux or the new character roster, the Granblue Fantasy: Relink guide collection has you covered heading into July.
