MySims Bundle Coming to Apple Arcade

EA has announced MySims: Cozy Bundle, a two-game collection launching exclusively on Apple Arcade on November 6th. The bundle includes MySims and MySims Kingdom, marking the series’ return to mobile devices with upgraded visuals and smoother performance.

Players will once again build and customize their own town, designing homes and businesses while helping residents with their everyday needs. Completing these tasks attracts new characters to the community, ranging from a pirate to a chef to an arcade owner. Players can also create and personalize their own Sim, deciding how to interact with the town’s residents - whether through friendship, rivalry, or complete indifference.

Updated Visuals and First Mobile Appearance

While the original MySims received a mobile adaptation in the late 2000s, the Cozy Bundle version takes advantage of modern mobile hardware to deliver higher-quality graphics and better performance. For MySims Kingdom, this release marks its first appearance on mobile platforms. Both games have been adjusted for Apple Arcade’s performance standards, offering an experience that bridges nostalgic gameplay with updated presentation.

Apple Arcade continues to attract developers looking to reintroduce established franchises in new formats. With MySims: Cozy Bundle, EA is testing how well a legacy simulation series resonates with current mobile audiences.

EA’s Broader Mobile Strategy and The Sims Franchise

EA has long experimented with The Sims on mobile, from The Sims FreePlay to The Sims Mobile. More recently, The Sims Labs: Town Stories appeared on Google Play, experimenting with narrative-driven gameplay through story cards. These smaller projects have given EA room to test new mechanics and storytelling approaches outside its mainline series.

The arrival of MySims: Cozy Bundle also comes as The Sims franchise celebrates its 25th anniversary. Earlier this year, EA confirmed that The Sims 5 is not currently in development, suggesting that the company’s focus remains on extending its existing properties and exploring mobile opportunities.

EA’s $55 Billion Acquisition and Launch Details

The announcement follows significant corporate news for EA. The publisher recently agreed to a $55 billion acquisition deal involving Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners. The acquisition could impact EA’s long-term development strategy, including its growing interest in mobile gaming and subscription-based services like Apple Arcade.

MySims: Cozy Bundle launches November 6th, available exclusively to Apple Arcade subscribers. The collection’s mix of creative gameplay, town-building, and social interaction is designed to reintroduce the MySims universe to new players while appealing to fans of the original releases.
