Enchanted by Nature is one of the denser expansions The Sims 4 has released in a while. EA built an entire world around fairies, naturopaths, and a reworked gardening system, and none of it is explained particularly well in-game. Between hunting down rare plants, figuring out fairy dust, and learning why every Sim keeps catching some kind of ailment, there's a real learning curve here. This guide covers everything a new player needs to settle into Innisgreen without wasting time.

Finding the New Plants

Moody Bush, Lightning Root, and Aura Blossom are the three plants everyone ends up hunting for first. The fastest way to grab all three at once is Clover's Seeds and Supplies in Sprucederry Grove, which stocks individual seeds, seed packets, and planters covering every new plant type in the pack.

These same seeds also show up through foraging once Natural Living hits level 7, and they grow naturally around the Everdew neighborhood for anyone who'd rather explore than shop. Fable NPCs are a solid backup source as well, through trading.

tip
The default Build & Buy houseplant browser only shows a handful of options. Place a houseplant pot and interact with it directly to pull up the full catalog for §240 per plant.

Outdoor Crops in Houseplant Pots

Several outdoor plants can go straight into houseplant pots instead of requiring dedicated houseplant versions. They come out slightly smaller but still produce the same harvestables, with the bonus of skipping bugs and seasonal damage entirely.

Not every seed works this way. A "Failed to Germinate" notification means there wasn't enough space , usually from planting too close to other objects or on a crowded surface.

Why Sims Keep Getting Sick

Ailments in this pack aren't purely bad luck or curse-related , they're contagious, running on a system similar to the illness mechanic from Get to Work. Naturopath Sims catch ailments more than most since their job puts them around sick patients constantly.

Anyone still weighing career options can check the guide on how to get a job in The Sims 4 to see how the Naturopath career stacks up against everything else on offer. Keeping a stock of Apothecary remedies on hand cuts down on how often a Sim gets sidelined by symptoms.

Gnomes and Fairy Dust

Fairy Sims can bring gnomes to life using magic and assign them to gardening, cleaning, repairs, or protection duty, building on the gnome-appeasing system from Seasons. Non-fairy Sims aren't locked out either, as long as they have fairy dust on hand.

How to Gather Fairy Dust

Fairy dust can be collected in several ways:

  • Asking a fairy directly
  • Visiting the Mossveil Fairy Hub for a daily ration
  • Picking it up naturally near fairies
  • Shaking fairy houses

The Lunar Cycle and Fairy Abilities

The Lunar Cycle system barely matters without the Werewolves pack installed, but it plays a real role here. A Full Moon lowers Emotional Force costs and slows how fast it drains, while a New Moon flips that entirely, burning through it faster.

warning
Emotional Force runs out quickly during a New Moon. Stockpile bottled emotions or keep a fairy house nearby before it hits, or fairy Sims will be stuck with weak abilities.

Fairy Sims looking to settle down with another Innisgreen resident can lean on the Sims 4 romance guide for tips on building compatibility, since fairy attraction quirks stack on top of the usual dating mechanics.

Leveling Natural Living Fast

Skipping the grind of constant foraging and ground-sleeping is possible. Eating harvestables , whether foraged, bought, or homegrown , gives a small chunk of Natural Living progress every time. Stack that with other skill buffs, like Tiny Home perks or a solid mood, and the skill climbs noticeably faster.

Sims planning to study it formally can also check the Sims 4 university guide for how skill-relevant degrees give graduates a head start once they enter the workforce.

Growing Plants Out of Season

Fairy Sims don't have to wait for the right season. The Enchant Plant action keeps a plant watered, weed-free, bug-free, and growing regardless of the current season. Testing this on off-season mushrooms produced a healthy sprout along with a bonus buff lasting three days.

Selling Books and Fish for Extra Simoleons

Devlin's Books in Sprucederry Grove buys and sells skill books at a discount, making it a solid stop for clearing out an overstuffed inventory or picking up new books without paying full price.

For fish, head to the Captain's Quarters near the Wreck of the Callyoch on the Coast of Adhmor. Selling Great or Excellent quality catches earns a small bonus on top of the base price, which adds up fast over a longer fishing session.

Getting comfortable in Innisgreen comes down to knowing where to shop, how fairy magic actually functions, and how the seasons tie into the new gardening system. For more Sims 4 coverage and guides on every other expansion, browse more guides on GAMES.GG.
