November belongs to GTA 6. That's just the reality. Rockstar's long-awaited return to Vice City is the kind of cultural event that swallows entire months whole, and plenty of developers have already shuffled their releases out of the way to avoid the shadow. But the lineup that remains is actually worth paying attention to, especially if open-world crime sims aren't your thing.
Here's the lowdown on what's competing for your time this November.
The heavy hitters arriving early in the month
The first two weeks of November come in swinging. Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered drops on Nov. 3 across Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X, bringing back the cult GameCube brawler 24 years after its original release. Online multiplayer is new this time around, which should give the kaiju fighter a second life it never quite got the first time.
One day later, World of Warcraft: Forever arrives on Nov. 4. Blizzard is leaning hard into 2000s nostalgia with a retro-styled version of the MMO that pairs classic visuals with brand-new content. For a certain generation of players, this is as significant a release as anything else dropping this month.
Then Nov. 5 lands two games at once. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time gets a full remake on Nintendo Switch 2, complete with modernized visuals, updated controls, and a jump button. Yes, a jump button. Nintendo clearly knew they needed something substantial to offer Switch 2 owners who aren't picking up GTA 6, and a remake of arguably the most beloved game ever made is about as strong an answer as you can give. On the same day, Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School launches on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X with co-op escape room puzzles designed by people who built real-world escape rooms professionally.
Mid-month momentum with something for everyone
Nov. 10 brings Warhammer Survivors, the Vampire Survivors-style roguelite built by the team behind Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. That studio already proved it understands how to translate the grimdark lore into a satisfying genre game, so expectations are reasonably high. It's launching across every major platform including mobile.
Nov. 12 is the busiest single day of the month outside of GTA 6's release. Three games land simultaneously. Barbie Rewind collects beloved titles from 1991 to 2007 into one package, making it a genuine nostalgia play for anyone who grew up with those games. Sonic Pico Park arrives as part of Sonic's 35th anniversary celebrations, a co-op puzzle platformer built in the style of the Pico Park series. And Pikmin 4 gets the full Switch 2 Edition treatment, adding the new Dandori Academy challenge mode on top of one of the Switch's best strategy games.
The indie worth bookmarking
If the blockbuster noise isn't your thing at all, Milki Delivery quietly shows up on Nov. 17 for PC. The 2D indie puts you in charge of a countryside dairy delivery service, biking between cows and customers in a world that draws obvious inspiration from Studio Ghibli. It's the kind of small game that tends to find a devoted audience fast.
Also worth flagging early in the month: Gravhounds launches into early access on Nov. 2 for PC and Xbox Series X. The co-op shooter puts gun-toting dogs on an alien planet with base building and gravity mechanics. It caught genuine attention at Gamescom Opening Night Live, which is harder to do than it sounds in a packed showcase.
What this November actually looks like for players
The honest read here is that November 2026 is thinner than a typical year. Developers have been routing around GTA 6 for months, and the gaps show. But the games that stayed are genuinely interesting across a wide range of tastes: a landmark remake, a nostalgia-driven MMO relaunch, a kaiju fighter, cozy indies, and a handful of co-op games filling the space that GTA 6 is leaving open by launching without multiplayer.
The key here is that Nintendo in particular seems to have read the room. Putting the Ocarina of Time remake on a platform GTA 6 isn't even launching on is smart positioning, and the Switch 2 library gets meaningfully stronger in a single week.
For anyone deep in the GTA 6 hype cycle, the PS5-exclusive features guide covers everything Rockstar is doing with DualSense haptics and PS5 Pro support. For everyone else, November has more going on than it first appears.
