BULKHEAD Confirms: No Jets for Season 2

If you've been searching for jets, planes, or any confirmation of new aircraft in WARDOGS Season 2, here's your answer straight from the top. On 4 October 2026, a player asked BULKHEAD CEO Joe Brammer (@Brammflakes) on X: "Any confirmation on jets/planes for Season 2? You gonna keep us waiting?" His reply, posted at 17:13 UTC, was "100% no."

Season 02 launches on 15 October 2026, as BULKHEAD announced on Steam on 22 September 2026. No jets. And according to one player who has spent around 145 hours in the game , mostly solo, running recon, that's the right call.

The Air Is Already Everywhere

The skies in WARDOGS Season 1 are far from empty. Little Birds fitted with miniguns, Little Birds carrying a passenger on the grenade launcher, and Havocs are already a constant presence. In one match, five Havocs appeared at the same time, seemingly because one player bought them and let others jump in.

Add to that long-range artillery capable of landing kills at 2.7 kilometres, and the vehicle layer in Season 1 is already dense enough to overwhelm newer players.

Why More Vehicles Isn't the Answer

The core problem isn't a lack of content in the air; it's that vehicles are already pulling players away from the objective. When everyone is driving a Ural, flying supplies in and out, or hunting from a Havoc, the play circle can end up with nobody actually in it.

Adding more vehicles isn't what it needs, especially when you can sometimes have no one in the play circle because everyone is already doing vehicle things, whether that's driving the Ural or flying the birds in and out with supplies.

Could Jets Even Work on These Maps?

Technically, yes. But that's not really the question.

Jets would definitely work. I think they would break parts of the game, but they could easily work and be a thing. I just don't think we need more vehicles in there.

The comparison to other games with jets, World of Warplanes, Arma, Battlefield, is instructive. Jets didn't ruin those games, but they felt native to them. WARDOGS is a different beast. The Arma comparison is the closest, and even there the same problem emerges: as soon as any player becomes skilled in a jet, they can dominate in a way that's very hard to counter.

What Actually Needs Fixing

The bigger issue heading into Season 2 isn't what's missing from the skies , it's that newer players don't have enough tools to deal with the vehicles already in the game. Late-game helicopters are particularly hard to counter. The starter single-use anti-air launcher (or whatever it's called) can be flared by most choppers, meaning you realistically need two or three players coordinating with launchers just to bring down a single helicopter.

That's the gap BULKHEAD should be looking at for Season 2: not adding jets, but giving solo and newer players more viable ways to push back against the vehicle meta that already exists.

The Verdict

Jets are not coming to WARDOGS Season 2. Joe Brammer was unambiguous about that. And with the air already crowded with Havocs and armed Little Birds, and the ground already contested by artillery striking at nearly three kilometres, that's probably the healthiest outcome for the game right now.

Doesn't look like they are, and hopefully they never will.
