Palworld 1.0 bumped the player level cap from 65 to 80, which means 15 entirely new Technology tiers to work through. That's a significant amount of new blueprints covering everything from Ancient-tier armor and base structures to late-game weapons like the Plasma Rifle and Beam Launcher. If you're pushing toward max level, knowing exactly what's waiting at each tier saves you from spending points in the wrong order.
What changed in the Technology tree for 1.0?
Pocketpair didn't just add a few extra unlocks at the top. The new tiers introduce entirely new material types like Soralite Ingot and Paloxite Ingot, a full suite of Ancient-themed base structures, and saddles for many of the new Pals added in the update. A handful of unlocks also require defeating specific bosses or capturing particular Pals before the blueprint becomes available, so progression isn't purely about grinding Technology Points.
For a full breakdown of what else changed in the update, the Palworld 1.0 major changes and additions guide covers every significant system rework alongside the new content.

How do Technology Points and Ancient Technology Points work?
Two separate currencies gate the new unlocks. Standard Technology Points are earned through leveling and cover the majority of blueprints. Ancient Technology Points are rarer and reserved for specific high-value unlocks. Several of the most powerful items in the new tiers cost 6, 7, 8, or even 9 Ancient Technology Points, so spending them carelessly early will leave you short when it matters.

The tables below list every unlock, its point cost, and any additional requirement beyond points. Saddle unlocks marked with a Pal name require you to have captured that specific Pal before the blueprint is accessible.

What should you prioritize spending points on?
The answer depends on whether you're focused on combat, base building, or Pal riding. Here's a rough priority breakdown:
- Combat players: The Combat SMG (level 68), Heavy Assault Rifle (level 70), Tactical Grenade Launcher (level 72), Plasma Rifle (level 78), and Beam Launcher (level 80) form a clear weapon progression path. Grab ammo blueprints alongside each weapon since they're cheap.
- Base builders: The Ancient Workbench and Ancient Structure Set at level 67 unlock early, followed by the Ancient Kitchen (70), Ancient Clinic (73), Ancient Farm (78), and Ancient Material Synthesizer (78). The Ancient Hatchery at level 76 costs 8 Ancient Tech Points but is worth it for Pal breeding at scale.
- Ancient Tech Point spenders: Prioritize Triple Jump Boots (6 points, level 70) if you want mobility, Soralite Quarry (7 points, level 72) for resource production, Ancient Hatchery (8 points, level 76), and finally Wing Pack (9 points, level 80).
Many of the new Pals added in 1.0 have saddle unlocks tied to their capture, so check the full list of new Pals in Palworld 1.0 to see which ones you'll want to prioritize catching for mount access.
Which unlocks require boss kills or Pal captures?
Several blueprints won't appear in your Technology menu until you meet a specific condition beyond simply reaching the required level:
- Triple Jump Boots (level 70): Defeat the PIDF Tower boss
- Azure Covenant Flag Set (level 71): Defeat the PIDF Tower boss
- All saddle unlocks require the corresponding Pal to be captured
This means if you're rushing to level 80 without engaging with the new boss content or catching new Pals, you'll have gaps in your Technology tree. The PIDF Tower boss is the only non-Pal-capture gating condition in the new tiers, so it's worth tackling before you hit level 70.
