Overview
Persona 4 Revival is an ATLUS-developed remake of Persona 4, published by SEGA. This story-driven RPG follows a teenage protagonist and a group of friends investigating murders in rural Japan, balancing their search for answers with the commitments of high school life.
The adventure connects two kinds of role-playing: choosing how to spend ordinary days and developing the supernatural powers needed for battle. Its investigation brings the cast's personal struggles into the same story as the crimes they are trying to solve.
How does turn-based combat work?
Persona 4 Revival uses turn-based battles built around exploiting enemy weaknesses and choosing Personas for each encounter. All-Out Attacks provide a coordinated offensive option for the team.

Players acquire additional Personas and create new ones through fusion. Developing that collection expands the choices available in combat and supports different approaches to enemy encounters.

School life and daily choices
Daily activities include attending school, playing sports, taking part-time jobs, and spending time with friends. These commitments share the protagonist's year with preparations for the investigation, making the schedule part of the role-playing structure.

Friendships carry narrative weight. Building bonds with individual characters affects the journey and shapes the story, placing conversations alongside battles as a central part of progression.
Decisions also lead to different experiences and endings. The school-life systems make room for personal priorities within the larger mystery, with relationships developing across the same year as the investigation.
Remake presentation and additional content
The remake refreshes the adventure's visuals and presentation, including anime-style sequences and 3D cutscenes. Gameplay improvements and quality-of-life changes also form part of its update to Persona 4.
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game, the Velvet Outfit Set, and four Persona sets drawn from Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Royal. Those sets contain characters' Personas such as Orpheus, Thanatos, Arsène, and Loki.
The Digital Premium Edition includes those extras alongside S.E.E.S. uniforms, Phantom Thieves costumes, and background music sets from both games. Its additions cover character appearance, crossover battle options, and in-game music.

Inaba and the Midnight Channel
Inaba is a rural Japanese town disrupted by a series of killings. A rumor describes the Midnight Channel, a mysterious television broadcast that appears only on rainy nights. A body discovered the following day connects that phenomenon to the investigation.
The friends form an investigation team to uncover the relationship between the broadcast and the murders. Their search places supernatural danger alongside the familiar routines of the town and its school.
Shadows, manifestations of individuals' darker selves, turn personal identity into a threat the team must confront. The characters awaken the power of Persona to fight these enemies, tying the RPG's supernatural combat directly to its murder mystery.
