Chapter 3, The Cure, is by far the longest stretch in Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf. Lana's quest to gather two ingredients for her sister's treatment takes her through a frozen mountain mine and then down into a submerged tropical facility. The puzzle design peaks here: you'll deal with wind hazards, fuse mechanics, mining machinery, underwater infiltration, and a magnetic boat. This walkthrough covers every puzzle in sequence, plus the locations of all 4 Secret Holograms scattered throughout.
How to get through the mountain wind sections
The chapter starts in a frozen mountain setting. Climb the blue ice wall after running forward. When the path forks, take the right branch and head outside, then drop to find a chest with Secret Hologram #2. Use Mui's special ability to unlock it. Climb back and go left to reach the exposed ridge where wind becomes a threat.
Wind gusts will knock Lana off any exposed surface. The trick is timing: wait for the wind to stop, sprint across the open ground, and crouch behind the nearest rock. The rock shields you completely, so you can wait there as long as needed. Use this dash-and-shelter rhythm across the next few exposed stretches until you reach the climbable wall. The lower section of the wall has a protective rock nearby, so you can hang there safely even during gusts.
How to solve the fuse puzzles
The fuse system shows up early and reappears throughout the mountain. Here's the concept: Mui can possess the small white creatures in each room. While controlling one, hold the special ability button as you move to leave a fuse trail on any surface you touch. These creatures cling to walls and ceilings and can jump between nearby surfaces.
Your objective in each fuse puzzle is to create a continuous line from a fire source to the webbing or blue squishy barriers blocking your path.
First fuse puzzle
Send Mui to the white creatures, take control of one, and trace a fuse line from the webbing down toward the flames. Don't touch the fire until the entire trail is laid. Once the line is complete, jump the creature into the fire to ignite the fuse.
Second fuse puzzle
This one introduces a movable box. Climb to the right side near the large squishy barrier. Draw a fuse up the right side, around the barrier, and back toward the fire. When the barrier burns and temporarily retracts, jump to the box and drag it left until it's close enough to the ceiling for a white creature to leap between them. From there, you can finish a fuse line from the fire all the way to the webbing.
Third fuse puzzle
This room has two blue squishy blockers that need to ignite at the same time to open a path upward. Move the box to the right so it nearly touches the rock overhead, then draw two separate fuse lines: one taking the long route to the upper blocker, and one to the lower one. Light both simultaneously. When the fire reaches the box, drag it over to the lower blocker. The instant that blocker drops, push the box onto it and climb up before the upper blocker closes again. The window is narrow.
How to get past cameras and robots in the snow
After the fuse rooms, Lana heads back outside into a security zone with cameras emitting red detection beams. Crouching in the large snow patches hides you entirely, even while moving. This is your primary stealth tool for the entire outdoor stretch.
The camera controlled by a button needs a two-part solution. Press the button to rotate the camera away, send Mui down into the snow, then press the button again to swing the camera back. With the camera now facing away from the generator on the far side, order Mui to activate it, which permanently disables the camera.
The long-legged robot encounter works differently. The first robot patrols a platform above you. Hide in the snow when it faces your direction, then sprint under the platform when it turns away. From there, wait for another clear moment and dash across the bridge into the crawlspace. Inside, you'll find a lever that controls both a camera and a door. Pull it to disable the camera, have Mui sever the cable, then pull the lever again. The door opens and the camera stays offline.
The second robot is stationary and blocks the only exit. Press the button near the entrance to open an access hatch behind it, send Mui through, and use their ability to temporarily freeze the machine. Sprint to the grate with Mui following.
How to complete the elevator puzzle
Press the button near the door to make both cameras swing toward the elevator. Press it again immediately and run to the elevator with Mui. Have Mui activate the generator on the elevator to descend. At the bottom, pull the lever on the right to activate the second elevator into the mountain mine.
How to solve the first mining robot puzzle (Secret Hologram #3)
The moment you descend into the mine, turn left before doing anything else. A hidden room holds Secret Hologram #3.
The mining robot puzzle requires using ore as bait to manipulate the robot's position. Drop down and grab the ore, then drag it to the ledge so the robot crouches to reach it. While it's crouched, send Mui onto its head. Pull the ore away so the robot rises, then have Mui jump to the generator and activate it, opening an elevator for Lana below.
As Lana, push the ore onto the elevator and ride it up. Drag the ore to the upper ledge to attract the robot's attention again, jump on its head, and leap across the gap.
How to solve the combined mining robot, camera, and webbing puzzle
This is the most complex puzzle in the mountain section. The room contains a mining robot that moves vertically, a camera, white creatures behind a boarded wall, and webbing blocking the exit above.
- Rip the boards off the wooden wall so Mui can reach the white creatures.
- Take control of one and ride the mining robot up to the top.
- Leap to the webbing level and start a fuse line from the webbing to the edge of the platform.
- Ride the robot back down and continue the fuse along its body: over the top, down the left side, across the bottom, and partway up the right side.
- When you're drawing the fuse on the right side, the camera will shoot the creature. This is intentional. The shot lights the fuse.
- If the timing works, the robot will be at the top as the fire reaches its head, transferring the flame to the platform above and burning through the webbing.
Once the webbing is clear, ride the robot's head up and exit through the passage.
How to get the Mountain Flower
Reaching the flower is straightforward. Getting it to open is not. The flower needs to be activated by a piece of ore surrounded by green gas, but webbing blocks access to that ore. You need to burn the webbing using white creatures and a series of intermittent fire sources.
The fires in this section blink on and off. Time your movements to pass through the gaps, draw fuse lines to each obstacle in sequence, and use the creature's ability to light each one. The final fuse line runs from the webbing all the way left to the white creature spawning area's fire.
With the webbing gone, have Mui stand on the ore to neutralize the gas, then drag the ore to the flower. Mui jumping off triggers the gas release, which opens the flower. Press the button prompt to trigger the cutscene.
How to escape the mountain
After the cutscene, you're in a timed escape sequence. Follow Mui if you lose your bearings. The route goes: jump onto the large machine, leap right when it stops, climb the wall, jump back to the rock where Mui waits, return to the machine, crouch under an obstacle, use the mining robot's head as a stepping stone, crouchwalk under another obstacle, get back on the original machine, then head right and climb the yellow bars to safety.
How to navigate the underwater sections
After another cutscene, the chapter shifts entirely to a tropical beach and ocean environment. This second half introduces several new mechanics.
Black-and-yellow plants act as flotation pods for Mui, letting the companion travel underwater while Lana swims. Grab a plant, bring it to Mui, and they'll climb inside so you can dive together.
Black bars with eyes are locked gates. Swim Mui up to the eye symbols above the bars and use their ability to open them.
Yellow breath tubes scattered underwater let Lana reset her air supply. Use them aggressively.
How to get past underwater enemies
The underwater stealth section works like the camera sections above ground. Wait for enemies to look away, then move. Two specific encounters require using the fish that appear from Chapter 2. Send Mui to take control of one, use momentum to leap between pools, squeeze through the tunnel at the bottom of the third pool, then use the ink ability to blind the creature on the other side. Place a second ink cloud between the remaining enemy and the exit tunnel, then switch back to Lana and swim through to the black bars.
How to find Secret Hologram #4 and #5
Secret #4 is in the Demoa section during the underwater flower-carrying sequence. After passing through the small fishing village and reaching the area with thick seaweed and a large creature in the background, surface and climb onto the island to the left. The chest is there.
Secret #5 is inside the underwater facility. After riding the diagonal moving platform that shields you from a security camera, jump across the platforms to the right to find the chest.
How to complete the electric jellyfish puzzles
The first jellyfish puzzle is simple: have Mui hop across the jellyfish floating at the surface to reach dry land on the other side.
The second is more involved. Five jellyfish are scattered underwater and need to be nudged to the surface to form a path for Mui. Here's where to find each one:
- Jellyfish 1: Directly below you as you enter the water.
- Jellyfish 2: In a gap further right, guarded by an enemy. Be careful.
- Jellyfish 3: Just below the surface on the right side.
- Jellyfish 4: Far right, hidden among the flora near a small gap.
- Jellyfish 5: At the bottom of the right-side gap, also guarded.
With all 5 at the surface, guide Mui across.
How to complete the facility puzzles
Camera and movable platform puzzle
Press the button to lower the platform so it blocks the camera's line of sight. Drop down and hide under it, then have Mui press the button to send it left. Move with the platform as it travels, using it as mobile cover to slip past the camera. Jump to the stationary platform on the left, then have Mui call the movable platform down and back up again. Jump on it mid-ascent for a free ride to the top.
Camera and robot puzzle
The goal is to trap the patrolling robot in the camera room so it's out of your way. Drop down to the camera level, pull the large box all the way right, and stand on top of it. Have Mui activate the generator to open the door between the robot and the camera. The robot will charge at you when it spots you, but you can jump to safety before it reaches you. The door closes behind it, locking the robot in the room with the camera.
How to get the boat
With the robot trapped, approach the boat area. When the camera pans right, drop down and crouch under the platform to stay hidden. When it pans left, sprint to the switch on the right and pull it. This opens the exit. Go left, board the boat, and leave.
How to solve the seashell puzzle
The seashell needs an electric charge to open. The boat's magnet is your main tool here.
- Head left of the seashell and pick up the metal girder with yellow tape.
- Carry it to the right of the seashell, where another girder sticks out of the wall. Place your girder so the two are touching.
- Find the third girder to the left and pull it up to touch the others.
- Head all the way left to the small air pocket and park the boat.
- Swim right to the room next to the girders and touch the jellyfish inside. It floats up and electrifies the girder chain.
- The current runs through all three girders to the seashell, opening it.
How to solve the block puzzle
The sequence for the four-platform block puzzle is displayed on a broken sign in the air pocket above the puzzle area. Check it before placing anything.
- 'L' with a dot block: Located next to the door, flipped upside down. Grab it from the side to orient it correctly. Place it on the leftmost platform.
- Line with two dots block: Already on the second platform. Leave it there.
- Three-dot block: Outside the puzzle area, at the bottom of the sea to the left. Bring it back and place it on the third platform.
- Two-lines block: At the top of the air pocket. Get out of the boat, climb the yellow bars, and leap onto the platform to tip it, dropping the block down. Place it on the platform closest to the door.
How to solve the girder puzzle
This puzzle requires routing an electrical current from a jellyfish through hanging girders to an underwater button.
Swim right and touch the jellyfish to start the current. Get onto the middle platform, which has two generators flanking a switch. The switch moves whichever girders are still active (not locked by Mui's ability).
- Use Mui on the right generator to freeze the right girder. Use the switch to move the left girder over until it touches the girder rising from the water.
- Switch Mui to the left generator to freeze the left girder. Pull the switch right to move the right girder over until it connects with the electrified chain.
- Dive underwater and press the button to open the door.
How to complete the yellow rectangular block puzzles
The first door in this sequence just needs a block placed on the platform beside it. The second door requires moving large yellow rectangular blocks out of the way to expose a hidden switch. Move the blocks with the boat's magnet, surface to the air pocket, get out, swim down, and press the switch manually.
The hexagonal block puzzle that follows is the trickiest. Navigate up and around into what looks like a small elevator shaft, grab the large hexagonal block, and drag it out. The shaft rises. Once it reaches the top, put the block back on it and quickly loop around to the left. If your timing is right, you'll squeeze through the gap before the shaft lowers again.
From there, the chapter largely plays itself out. Swim upward when the path opens and follow the prompts to reach the end.
