Bizarre Lineage (Roblox ...

Bizarre Lineage is one of the biggest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure-inspired games on Roblox, pulling in over 122 million visits since launch. Developed by Bizarre Collective, it blends Stand collection, Fighting Styles, Sub-Abilities, and an ELO-based PvP system into a surprisingly deep combat game. If you're starting from zero, the sheer number of systems can feel overwhelming fast. This guide cuts through the noise and gives you a clear path from your first Stand arrow to your first PvP win.

What is Bizarre Lineage and how does it play?

At its core, Bizarre Lineage is an action-fighting game where you collect Stands (supernatural abilities drawn from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure), pair them with Fighting Styles, and grind through quests and boss fights to grow stronger. The progression loop runs like this: get a Stand, unlock a Fighting Style and Sub-Ability, level up to 50, Prestige, then push into the Awakening system for your Stand's ultimate form.

The game has over 122.1 million visits, which puts it firmly among the top tier of Roblox fighting games. That player count also means active PvP modes, regular Gang Wars, and a community that's been optimizing builds for a while. Coming in fresh, you need a plan.

Controls and keybinds: what every button does

Before touching a single enemy, get comfortable with the control layout. Bizarre Lineage uses a wide spread of keys, and muscle memory here directly affects how well you perform in PvP.

How do you start progressing in Bizarre Lineage?

The fastest way to get moving is to follow this roadmap in order rather than bouncing between systems randomly.

Step 1: Complete the tutorial

Talk to the Receptionist NPC at Grand Morioh Hotel first. The tutorial walks you through basic movement, Stand summoning, and combat. Skipping it costs you starting items and leaves gaps in your understanding of core mechanics. It takes only a few minutes and pays off immediately.

Step 2: Get your first Stand

Use a Stand Arrow to randomly obtain a Stand. Stand Arrows drop from chests, come from redeemed codes, or can be purchased from merchants around the map. Lucky Arrows work the same way but add a chance to roll a cosmetic skin for whatever Stand you land.

Your first Stand is random, so don't panic if it's not S-tier. Check our Bizarre Lineage tier list to see where your Stand sits and whether it's worth investing arrows into rerolling early.

Step 3: Unlock a Fighting Style and Sub-Ability

Fighting Styles are learned from NPCs scattered across the map. The available styles are Boxing, Karate, Kendo, and Muay Thai. Boxing at Bus Stop 2 is the most beginner-friendly starting choice because it pairs well with most Stands and has a straightforward skill set.

Sub-Abilities (Hamon, Vampire, Cyborg) layer passive bonuses on top of your build. Don't ignore them. Vampire, for example, provides HP regeneration that makes early grinding noticeably more forgiving. For a detailed breakdown of how to unlock one of the stronger options, the Bizarre Lineage Muay Thai guide covers the full quest chain.

Step 4: Level up and push toward Awakening

Grind EXP by defeating enemies and minibosses until you hit Level 50, then Prestige through the Arch Mage NPC. After Prestiging, max out your Stand Conjuration stat to unlock the Awakening quest chain, which gives your Stand its ultimate power state activated with H.

Where should you farm EXP as a beginner?

EXP farming is the backbone of early progression, and the difference between efficient and inefficient grinding is significant.

  • Okuyasu Nijimura Prime at the Bus Stop 9 gas station is the best early EXP source. He respawns and hits hard, but the EXP reward justifies the fight.
  • The treadmill at the Bus Stop 2 gym gives a 1.5x EXP multiplier while you're using it. Stack this with any active grinding session.
  • Main story quests hand out large EXP bonuses at each completed stage. Work through them alongside boss farming rather than ignoring them.
  • Joining a Gang opens up Gang Contractor missions and potential group EXP bonuses.
  • Redeem active codes for free chests and EXP-boosting essences. Three codes are currently active: !code 750LikesforNextCode, !code 500kLikes (Common Chest, Face Reroll, Gold Coins, Stand Arrow), and !code 250kLikes (same rewards as 500k). Redeem them in a fresh server for the rewards to register properly.

What PvP modes are available?

Bizarre Lineage has four competitive modes, all running on an ELO-based ranking system. Wins raise your rating, losses drop it. Winning any match earns Chests (Common, Rare, or Legendary tier).

Gang Wars specifically reward winning teams with Gang Points, Chests, and contributions to Gang Territory income. You need Gang membership to participate, which is another reason to join one early.

Common mistakes that slow new players down

After watching plenty of new players burn resources and stall their progression, these are the patterns that come up most often:

  • Wasting Stat Points without a plan. Every point you allocate should align with your Stand and Fighting Style combination. Spreading stats randomly makes you mediocre at everything.
  • Skipping the tutorial. The starting items it gives you matter more than they look.
  • Ignoring Sub-Abilities. Even the Human Sub-Ability provides passive benefits. Vampire's HP regen alone can cut your potion spending significantly during early grinding.
  • Forgetting to join the Bizarre Collective Roblox Group. Code redemption requires group membership, so this is a free resource gate that's easy to miss.
  • Prestiging before you're ready. The reset is permanent. Make sure your build is functional before you wipe your stats.

Getting more out of Bizarre Lineage

Bizarre Lineage has more depth than most Roblox fighting games, and the systems build on each other in ways that reward players who plan ahead. Once you have your Stand, Fighting Style, and Sub-Ability locked in, the grind becomes much more directed.
