The Doomsekkar Rod is the headline reward from Fisch's FischFright 3 Halloween event, added in Version 2.06.0. You can't buy it anywhere. The only path to it runs through three trials handed out by an NPC on Caustic Hallow, the event island. Finish all three before 17:00 UTC on November 9, 2026, and the rod is yours. Miss that window and it goes Limited, meaning you'd need to wish for it later. Here's exactly how to clear every step.

Doomsekkar waits at the graveyard
How to reach Doomsekkar in Caustic Hallow
Doomsekkar lives in the cemetery on Caustic Hallow, the FischFright 3 event island. His GPS coordinates are roughly -14988, 146, -9663. To get there from the main world, head to the spooky shop on the east side of Moosewood Village. The Flying Dutchman is docked nearby. Talk to the Dutchman Captain and he'll sail you directly to the event island.
Once you land, walk past the fountain and take the left road when the houses appear. Doomsekkar stands next to the bridge, identifiable by the green flame on his head and his antlers. Press E to talk and accept the quest. The three objective counters appear in your tracker immediately, all starting at 0.
What are the three Doomsekkar quest objectives?
All three objectives can be completed in any order. The two fishing objectives advance simultaneously while you work through Frightful Pools.
| Objective | Target | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Catch fish from Frightful Pools | 100 catches | Any Frightful Pool |
| Perfect Catch fish in a row | 50 consecutive | Any Frightful Pool |
| Fight the spirits of a Haunted House | 1 encounter | A haunted house |
Turning in all three rewards the Doomsekkar Rod, 3,000 Treats, and 5,000 XP toward the Rod Journal, where the rod is logged as Limited.
How to get 100 catches and 50 Perfect Catches in Frightful Pools
Frightful Pools are temporary green-glowing fishing spots that open during the event. They come in four varieties: Vile, Doomed, Grim, and Eldritch. Any of the four counts toward both objectives. Fish caught from ordinary water do not.
Pool timing works like this: a pool opens every 45 minutes and stays active for 10 minutes. Spawns appear around Moosewood, the Statue of Sovereignty, Terrapin Island, and Harvesters Spike. If you want to guarantee a pool right where you're standing, a Frightful Pool Totem costs 3,000 Treats from the Dutchman Merchant and spawns one on the spot.
One important caveat: inside a Frightful Pool, Control drops to half its normal value. FischFright 3 rods get a 25% stat boost inside pools to compensate, but if you're using a rod from outside the event, the reduced Control makes the Perfect Catch bar harder to manage. Rods like Blade of Glorp, Seraphic, or Elemental help keep the bar under control.
The 50 Perfect Catches need to be consecutive. Any non-Perfect catch resets the streak to zero. Keep an eye on the tracker rather than counting manually, and once a streak is underway, stay on the same server until it's done. Server-hopping mid-run risks losing your streak progress.
Global chat is the fastest way to spot a live pool. A boat gets you there faster than swimming.

How to catch the Haunted House ghost
The third objective has nothing to do with fishing. It's part of the Trick or Treating system, which requires a Candy Bucket equipped. Most houses just give out Treats (or occasionally take some) and go on cooldown. Only a haunted house triggers the ghost encounter.
Watch for a server-wide message like "House 111 feels haunted… knock if you dare." Note the house number, find it on the map (the correct house displays its number glowing green), and knock with your Candy Bucket equipped. The dialogue choice you pick doesn't affect the outcome.
When the prompt "CATCH THE GHOST!" appears, guide the cursor ring to follow the ghost until the meter fills completely. This is a minigame, not a passive interaction. Entering the house without finishing the minigame gives no credit.
After a successful catch, you're teleported to a green-glowing hidden area. Use the Magic Mirror to exit, then verify the tracker reads 1/1.
How to claim the Doomsekkar Rod
With all three counters at 100/100, 50/50, and 1/1, return to the graveyard on Caustic Hallow and talk to Doomsekkar again. When he says "The weapon recognizes your malice. The Doomsekkar is yours," you'll see the alerts confirming the rod and the 3,000 Treats have been added. The rod appears in your rods list immediately.
If the rod doesn't appear, check each counter individually rather than assuming they're all done. The Perfect Catch streak and the ghost encounter are the two most commonly mistaken for complete.
Doomsekkar Rod stats
The rod has a dark purple and silver-white body with gothic curves, glowing neon-green teeth, and a purple aura. Its stat spread is built around a specific playstyle rather than balanced numbers.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Lure Speed | 100% |
| Luck | 275% |
| Control | 0.1 |
| Resilience | -666% |
| Max Kg | Infinite |
| Line Distance | 100 m |
| Rod Journal | Limited (5,000 XP) |
The 0.1 Control gives a reeling bar that covers roughly 40% of the minigame width, which sounds punishing until you understand how the rod's passive works. The -666% Resilience is intentional: fish move erratically, and the pumpkin bomb mechanic converts that movement into progress. The Infinite Max Kg cap means no fish is too heavy to land.
Older clips circulating online show very different figures for this rod, including 25% Luck and an 80,000 kg limit. Those belong to a different rod or an earlier test build. The FischFright 3 stats listed above are the current ones. The Dusekkar Rod from FischFright 2 is also a separate item, sold for 25,000 Candy during that event and no longer obtainable. Doomsekkar is its thematic successor.
How do pumpkin bombs and the Doomsekkar mutation work?
Every 0.8 seconds during a reel, the rod places a pumpkin bomb somewhere on the fishing bar away from the fish. Up to 6 bombs can be active at once. When the fish moves into a bomb, it detonates.
| Mechanic | Normal Fish | Progress Locked Fish |
|---|---|---|
| Bomb spawn rate | Every 0.8 seconds | Every 0.8 seconds |
| Max active bombs | 6 | 6 |
| Bomb lifetime (undetonated) | 45 seconds | 45 seconds |
| Progress per detonation | +8% | +2.8% |
| Slash after 6 detonations | +50% progress | +17.5% progress |
Once the sixth bomb detonates, a slash fires that also multiplies the fish's final weight by 1.8x and activates the Doomsekkar effect for 50 seconds. Every additional bomb detonation after that extends the effect by 10 seconds for you and every player within 50 studs. Fish near other Doomsekkar users and the effect can run for the entire catch.
While the Doomsekkar effect is active, all nearby players receive:
- 1.15x slash strength
- 1.2x Lure Speed
- 1.1x movement speed
- An extra 10% chance for the Doomsekkar mutation
The Doomsekkar mutation multiplies a fish's selling value by 8x. The base chance per catch is 10%, with an additional 8% added for every bomb that detonated during that fight. In long, hectic catches with multiple detonations, mutation rates can climb to roughly 50% of catches. Bomb timing and progress values have seen some variation since launch, so treat your own catch results as the most current reference.
Why keep using the Doomsekkar Rod after earning it?
The rod earns its keep well past the quest. Cemetery rituals on Caustic Hallow require Doomsekkar-mutated materials. One example is a Jagged Bone for the Omniscient Spinecaster ritual, which also ties into Ethereal Rose progression. The 275% Luck and infinite weight cap make it strong for general money-making, and the 8x mutation means a single good session can produce outsized returns.
For players working through other FischFright 3 quests, the Doomsekkar Rod pairs naturally with Frightful Pool fishing. If you're still completing other event rods, check out the Fisch Webweaver Rod guide for Webby Winston's quest in Caustic Hallow, or the Boglin Branch Rod walkthrough for the Youngster Goblin questline's 180% Luck and 6x fish value passive. There's also the Bellona's Waraxe Rod guide if you want the fire-wreathed dual-hook rod.
All of these are time-limited to the FischFright 3 window. Once November 9 passes, the Doomsekkar Rod joins the Limited pool. For everything else happening in Roblox Fisch right now, the full Roblox guides collection has you covered.
