The Boglin Branch is one of the more interesting rods added to Roblox during the FischFright 2026 Halloween event. It's a limited quest reward, meaning you can't buy it or stumble into it randomly. You earn it by grinding through the Youngster Goblin questline at Caustic Hollow, and the process takes longer than most players expect thanks to three rare item drops with no guaranteed timelines. Here's everything you need to know to finish it efficiently.

How do you find the Youngster Goblin in Fisch?
Getting to the quest NPC requires a short trip. From Moosewood Island, head south toward the large green glowing ship. Climb aboard and speak with the Dutchman captain, then select Set Sail! to travel to the event area. You'll arrive at Caustic Hollow.
Once there, walk straight down the middle lane from the fountain, then turn right toward house 506. The Youngster Goblin NPC is standing near the house by the acid river. Interact with him to start the questline.
What are all the Youngster Goblin quest objectives?
The questline has five distinct requirements. You need to satisfy all of them before returning to the Youngster Goblin for the reward:
- Goblin challenges: Complete 3 goblin tasks rated Normal difficulty or higher.
- Witch's Ingredients: Collect and hand over 10 ingredients (any combination of types counts).
- Boglin Skull: Obtain one.
- Boglin Twig: Obtain one.
- Boglin Wraps: Obtain one.
The three Boglin items are the real bottleneck. They're rare drops from goblin challenges, and the RNG means you could finish the difficulty requirement and ingredient count long before you see all three items.
How do goblin difficulty levels work?
Goblins spawn across different islands roughly every 5 minutes, with up to 3 active at a time. An on-screen notification tells you which island each goblin has appeared on. Travel to the island and check the goblin's outline before accepting its task.
Green-outlined goblins offer Easy difficulty challenges. These do not count toward the 3 Normal-or-harder requirement. Every other difficulty level does count.
Here's what that means practically:
- Prioritize non-green goblins until your challenge counter hits 3.
- After that, Easy goblins are perfectly fine for farming the remaining Boglin item drops.
- Harder challenges tend to award more Witch's Ingredients per completion, so they're worth targeting while you still need to reach 10.
How to farm the Boglin Skull, Boglin Twig, and Boglin Wraps
These three items drop as bonus rewards after completing goblin challenges. There's no fixed drop rate guarantee, so the number of runs required varies. Pay attention to the reward messages after each challenge completion, and check your inventory regularly so you don't grind for something you already have.
A few things that help speed this up:
- Finish the 3 qualifying challenges first. Run Normal-or-harder tasks while simultaneously watching for Boglin drops and collecting ingredients.
- Switch to Easy goblins after the difficulty requirement is done. They're faster to complete and still drop Boglin items, so they become your best option for repeat farming.
- Track each item individually. You need one of each: Skull, Twig, and Wraps. You can't substitute duplicates of a single item.
- Watch the reward notifications. The game announces item drops in the post-challenge messages. Missing these means you might not realize you already have what you need.

Youngster Goblin quest objectives
Boglin Branch stats and passive explained
Once all five objectives are complete, return to the Youngster Goblin and hand over your materials. The reward is the Boglin Branch rod plus 800 Treats, and the rod also grants 5,000 XP toward your Rod Journal.
Full stat breakdown
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Lure Speed | 80% |
| Luck | 180% |
| Control | 0.05 |
| Resilience | 20% |
| Max Weight | 550,000 kg |
The 180% Luck is the headline number, and it's genuinely strong for luck-focused fishing builds. The 550,000 kg weight capacity is also substantial. Control sits at 0.05 and Resilience at 20%, so this rod trades handling for luck output.
What does the Boglin Branch passive do?
The passive has two layers. First, there's a 25% chance to apply the Boglin mutation to any fish you reel in. That mutation increases the fish's sell value by 6 times, making the rod a solid money-maker when the proc lands.
Second, the rod modifies the fishing minigame directly. Every 2 seconds, there's a 25% chance for a Trap to drop onto the control bar. The Trap lasts 4 seconds and prevents the fish from moving past it, giving you a window to gain progress. There's also a 30% chance to hit the fish for +30% Progress during the minigame, plus a 10% chance to receive a bonus Witch's Ingredient from goblin tasks while the rod is equipped.

Is the Boglin Branch worth the grind?
For a luck-focused or money-farming setup, yes. 180% Luck combined with a 25% chance to multiply fish value by 6x is a meaningful combination, and the minigame Trap mechanic makes catching fish easier regardless of what you're targeting. The low Control and Resilience values mean it's not ideal for every situation, but for event farming and general fish value runs it performs well above average.
The grind length depends almost entirely on how quickly the three Boglin items drop. Some players collect all three within a handful of runs. Others spend considerably longer. Plan for the longer scenario and you won't be caught off guard.
