Murder Mystery 2's 2026 Halloween Event launched October 18 and runs through November 16, and it packs more reward systems into one event than most seasonal updates do. You have a 30-tier Battle Pass, a Bingo challenge grid, daily quests, a loot box, and a Cauldron crafting system all running at the same time. The event is live right now on Roblox, so every day you skip is Candies left on the table.

How do you farm Candies in Murder Mystery 2?

Candies are the event currency, and there are two ways to collect them. The passive method is simply picking them up as they spawn on the map during live rounds. They appear as collectible ground items regardless of your assigned role, so grab every one you spot while moving between objectives.

The active method is completing the three daily quests that refresh every day at 8:00 AM UTC (3:00 AM EST). These quests are tiered and cumulative, meaning progress toward the 60-Candy quest also counts toward the 120 and 200 thresholds.

Daily QuestBonus Candy Reward
Collect 60 Candies220 Candies
Collect 120 Candies110 Candies
Collect 200 Candies170 Candies

Finishing all three in a single day adds 500 bonus Candies on top of your natural in-round collection. Combined, you can realistically net over 1,000 Candies per day if you play consistently.

Event quest milestones worth tracking

Separate from daily quests, there are three permanent reward milestones tied to cumulative daily quest completions:

MilestoneReward
Complete 15 Daily QuestsHexed Common Knife Skin
Complete 30 Daily QuestsPumpkin Skin
Complete 45 Daily QuestsGhostly Rare Knife Skin

The Ghostly Rare Knife Skin at 45 completed quests is the best free reward in the event outside the Battle Pass. Hitting 45 completions across the event's run requires logging in and finishing quests on 15 separate days, which is very achievable given the November 16 end date.

What is the best way to spend Candies in Murder Mystery 2?

With the Battle Pass, Halloween Box, and other costs competing for your Candies, spending order matters a lot here.

Halloween Pass: spend here first

The Halloween Pass is 30 tiers, with the first tier free and each subsequent tier costing 600 Candies. That puts the full 29-paid-tier cost at 17,400 Candies. The later tiers contain Legendary-rarity knife skins including Ember and Darkwave, neither of which are obtainable through the Halloween Box or any other free event source. If you can only prioritize one Candy sink, the Pass is the right call every time.

Beyond the Legendary skins, the Battle Pass also distributes Halloween Keys across multiple tiers. Those keys double as box openers, so progressing the Pass naturally builds your box-opening currency.

Halloween Box: spend here second

Once your Pass progression is on track, open the Halloween Box '26 with leftover Candies or Halloween Keys. Each box costs 600 Candies or 1 Halloween Key.

RarityDrop RatePossible Rewards
Common70%Candy Corn Gun, Bombs Gun, Skulls Knife, Bullets Knife
Uncommon18%Glow Knife, Brew Knife, Drool Knife
Rare8%Catseye Knife, Raven Knife
Legendary4%Embergun Gun Skin
Godly0.2%Embersickle Knife
Chroma Godly0.004%Chroma Embersickle Knife

The Embersickle is the box's Godly reward at 0.2%, and the Chroma Embersickle sits at 0.004%. Both are extremely rare drops. The box is also relevant for crafting: combining an Embersickle with an Emberbow at the Cauldron produces Emberscythe, with a low chance of yielding the Chroma Emberscythe instead. This makes the Cauldron system the event's most ambitious reward path.

How do you complete Halloween Event Bingo in Murder Mystery 2?

The Bingo system returns to MM2 for the first time since the 2023 Easter Event. It uses a 3x3 grid where completing a full row or column unlocks a reward, and clearing the entire board earns a bonus Cauldron.

Column 2Pumpkins Knife Skin

All rows and columnsCauldron (bonus reward)

Column 1 is worth targeting early because the 2 Halloween Keys it rewards go directly toward box opens, saving you 1,200 Candies. Row 1 and Row 2 are the most passive to complete since Innocent survival and Sheriff kills happen naturally through normal play. Row 3's melee and knife-throw challenges require deliberate Murderer play, so save those for sessions where you get the role consistently.

What else is new in the 2026 Halloween Event?

The lobby and secret room

The 2026 lobby takes its design from MM2's classic 2014-2018 era, running noticeably smaller than recent Halloween lobbies. The voting area mirrors the exterior and interior of the classic Haunted House map. A balcony area above the voting pads hides a secret room, accessible by clicking the skull decorations around the lobby in rainbow sequential order.

New and returning maps

The event introduced Haunted House 2, a revamp of the original Haunted House map. All previous Halloween-themed maps returned alongside it: Manor, Farmhouse, Mineshaft, Barn (Infection), Vampire's Castle, and Spaceship.

Mortal Bundle gamepass

The limited Mortal Bundle costs 3,399 Robux and includes the Godly knife Mortal, the Godly gun Immortal, and the unique Smolder effect. Each weapon is also available separately for 1,699 Robux. This bundle returns once per year and is only available during the Halloween window.

Trophies and leaderboard

The top 100 players on the leaderboard earn reskinned versions of the Emberbow as trophies. Podium rewards also exist for the top finishers. Leaderboard placement is tied to Candy collection totals, so consistent daily play is the path to trophy eligibility.

Frequently asked questions

Can you use Halloween Keys instead of Candies for the Halloween Box? Yes. One Halloween Key opens one box, equivalent to 600 Candies. Keys drop from the Bingo Column 1 reward and from Battle Pass tiers, so save them for boxes rather than spending Candies when you have Keys available.

How many Candies can you earn per day? Completing all three daily quests adds 500 bonus Candies. Combined with in-round collection, most active players can exceed 1,000 Candies per day.

Is the Halloween Pass worth it? Yes. The Ember and Darkwave Legendary knife skins are Pass-exclusive and have no other acquisition path during the event. At 17,400 Candies for the full 29 paid tiers, consistent daily play across the event window puts the complete Pass within reach.
