Ride a Pet Guide: How to Get the Cherub Egg & Black Hole Egg
Advertisement

Ride a Pet hides its rarest eggs in some genuinely awkward corners of the map, and the Cherub Egg and Black Hole Egg are the two that most players miss repeatedly. Both are Ethereal-rarity eggs with fixed spawn locations spread across every biome. When either one appears, an announcement fires at the top of the screen and every player on the server starts racing. You have seconds, not minutes. Here is how to be the one who arrives first.

What makes the Cherub Egg and Black Hole Egg different?

Most eggs in Ride a Pet drop at random spots around the map with no pattern. The Cherub Egg and Black Hole Egg are different. Both are Ethereal-rarity eggs that share the exact same pool of spawn locations across every biome. When the spawn announcement appears, you are not searching blindly. You are running a checklist.

The Cherub Egg hatches a multi-winged angel pet with a single central eye. There is no fixed purchase price, no quest, and no guaranteed nest. Whoever reaches the spawn point first takes it home.

important
Servers in Ride a Pet hold 6 players. The competition pool is small, but every player on that server sees the same announcement you do. Speed is everything.

What setup do you need before hunting?

Before you chase a single egg, lock in four things. Every second you spend adjusting mid-run is a second another player closes the gap.

For mounts, flying pets have a major edge here. The Phoenix is specifically well-suited for Ethereal egg hunts because it bypasses the obstacle courses and cliff climbs that slow down ground-type pets. Other fast options worth riding include Cerberus, Dragon, Kitsune, T-Rex, Unicorn, and Cheetah. Swap the moment a hatch gives you something quicker.

For radars, the Gears stall stocks several tiers: Magic Radar, Royal Radar (20,000 in-game cash), Angelic Radar, and Eternal Radar. If you can access one, the Ethereal Radar points directly to every active Ethereal-rarity egg on the map for a single use, though it costs 30,000,000 in-game cash. If higher tiers are out of stock, hit the restock button rather than leaving empty-handed.

tip
Check the Track stall's Eggs In World list before committing to a full lap. It tells you which egg tiers are currently live so you know whether a Cherub or Black Hole Egg is actually out there before you start running.

All Cherub Egg and Black Hole Egg spawn locations

Both eggs share these spawn points. When the announcement fires, check them in order from your current position rather than always starting from the same place.

Giant Tree

From the central plot, head behind the Sell Shop and ride straight until you reach the Giant Tree. Climb to the top and check three spots:

  • Inside the tree room at the very top, a small enclosed space where both eggs can appear
  • Lower branches on the left side, just below the top level
  • Lower branches on the right side, mirroring the left

This is one of the more time-consuming locations because of the vertical climb, which is exactly why a flying pet saves you so much time here.

Cave behind the waterfall

From the Track Shop, head straight toward the river and follow it upstream. A waterfall marks the cave entrance. Go inside and check the interior spawn points. The cave is compact, so a quick sweep covers it fast.

Outside the cave opening

At the far end of the cave, there is an opening that leads to a cliff face. Climb up and check two spots:

  • The cliff to the left of the cave opening
  • The cliff to the right of the cave opening

These are easy to miss because most players exit the cave and keep moving without looking up.

Pyramid

The Desert biome sits on the left side of the map. Find the Pyramid and check the small opening inside it. Both eggs can spawn in that interior space. It is a single spot, so the check is fast.

Inside the Maze

To the right of the Pyramid, there is a small pond. Jump into it to drop into a maze. Both the Cherub Egg and the Black Hole Egg can spawn in any corner of this maze. Sweep the corners methodically rather than running the center path.

warning
Do not camp any single spawn point waiting for a respawn. Standing still is the fastest way to burn an entire session without finding anything. If a spot is empty, move immediately to the next location.

How do you carry the egg back safely?

Picking up the egg is not the finish line. The moment you grab it, an Egg Will Break countdown bar appears at the top of the screen. If that bar empties before you place the egg in a nest at your ranch, the egg drops and the run is over with no recovery option.

Ride straight back without detours the moment you pick it up. The egg is only fully secured once it is sitting in a nest and the countdown disappears. A successful hatch can produce mutations like Your Cherub Egg became Volted [x3 Speed], confirmed on screen.

Why eggs per hour is the only stat that matters

The Cherub Egg has no published spawn percentage. Any source claiming exact odds or guaranteed coordinates is guessing. What you can control is volume: the more egg spawns you check per hour, the more chances you get.

A faster mount and an active radar do not change the odds on any single egg. They change how many times you pull the lever in a session. That is the entire logic behind the setup. Speed upgrades, radar uptime, and knowing the spawn locations all feed the same number.

For a broader look at which pets are worth hatching across the whole game, the Steal an Egg pets tier list ranking every pet by income applies similar prioritization logic that transfers well to any Roblox pet-collecting game.

tip
Only switch servers after completing a full spawn sweep. Hopping every 30 seconds means you constantly re-cover the starting area and never reach the remote spots like the cave cliffs or the maze corners.

Avoid scripts and fake spawn lists

Auto-best-egg tools, egg ESP, teleport exploits, and any post advertising a guaranteed spawn time are not legitimate play. The spawn locations listed above are the actual documented points. Everything else, including posts with precise coordinates beyond what is listed here, is fabricated.

The setup that genuinely speeds you up (a flying pet, a stocked radar, and knowledge of the spawn points) requires nothing outside normal in-game progression. Run the loop cleanly across a few sessions and the Cherub Egg shows up on its own schedule.
