The Solaris Egg is the newest Ethereal rarity egg in Ride a Pet on Roblox, added with the Mutations update. It joins the Black Hole Egg and the Cherub Egg as the third Ethereal egg in the game, which means it shares that same brutal combination of extremely low spawn rates and a punishing 20-second window before it breaks. If you want any realistic shot at grabbing it, you need to know exactly where to look the moment the spawn announcement hits your screen.
What makes the Solaris Egg different from other eggs?
The Solaris Egg sits at Ethereal rarity, the same tier as the Black Hole Egg and Cherub Egg. That rarity classification means two things: it spawns very infrequently, and when it does appear, the clock starts immediately. You have 20 seconds from spawn before the egg breaks and disappears. There is no second chance on that timer.
The game does broadcast an announcement when the Solaris Egg spawns, so you will know it is on the map. The trick is being fast enough to reach the right location. You can also speak to the Eggo NPC to confirm whether the egg is still active before you sprint across the map.
All 4 Solaris Egg spawn locations
The Solaris Egg can appear in 4 distinct areas of the map. These overlap with some locations shared by the Black Hole Egg and Cherub Egg, though the Solaris Egg also has spots unique to it. Check our Cherub Egg and Black Hole Egg spawn location guide if you want a comparison across all three Ethereal eggs.
1. Cave (behind the waterfall)
The Cave behind the big waterfall is one of the more reliable spawn zones based on repeated testing. When you enter, check the raised platforms on both sides of the cave interior and sweep the corners at the far end. The egg can also appear outside the cave, near the large opening and along the cliffs on either side of the exit, so do not leave immediately if you come up empty inside.

2. Giant Tree
The Giant Tree is a high-priority first stop if you have the Phoenix equipped. The Solaris Egg can spawn on the top branches and inside the cabin at the summit. With 20 seconds on the clock, getting airborne immediately is the only way to check this location without wasting the entire timer on the climb.

3. Grey Mountain
The Grey Mountain spawn is the trickiest to navigate on foot. From the Ranch area, head toward the waterfall and follow the water upstream instead of entering the Cave. When the stream ends, follow the mountain edge to your right and take the first left at the opening. The egg will be visible from a distance if it has spawned there. Again, a fast mount is not optional here.
4. Desert (Pyramid and Maze)
The Desert area has two sub-locations to check. Head to the Pyramid first since it is the more obvious structure. If the egg is not inside, look for the small pond to the right of the Pyramid and jump in. That pool leads to the Desert Maze, and the Solaris Egg can spawn in any corner of that maze. This is the most time-consuming location to search, so save it for last unless you happen to spawn nearby.

Which Radar do you need for the Solaris Egg?
Because the Solaris Egg is Ethereal rarity, only the Eternal Radar can track it. You pick this up from the Gears Shop, though it restocks infrequently. It is currently the most expensive Radar in the game, and it can also be purchased with Robux if it is out of stock. The Eternal Radar tracks any Ethereal egg, so it works across the Solaris, Black Hole, and Cherub Eggs.
For a full breakdown of every Radar type, what each one tracks, and exact pricing, the Ride a Pet Radars guide covers all of it in one place.
Tips for grabbing the Solaris Egg before it breaks
- Always have your fastest pet equipped before you go idle or AFK. Spawn announcements can come at any time.
- Learn the Grey Mountain path in advance. It is the most confusing route and not somewhere you want to figure out under a 20-second countdown.
- The Cave tends to be the most frequently reported spawn zone, so treat it as your default first check if you are unsure.
- Speak to the Eggo NPC to verify the egg is still active before you start moving.
- The Solaris Egg shares spawn points with the other Ethereal eggs, so practicing your routes while hunting the Black Hole Egg or Cherub Egg will prepare you for Solaris runs too.
