The Azure Heart is one of the nastiest grinds in Sailor Piece. It sits at the very bottom of the Yamato boss's loot table, drops less than 1% of the time, and you need it to unlock one of the most powerful swords in the game. There is no shortcut, no chest to open, no alternative source. Just you, an 850 million HP world boss, and a lot of patience.

Where does the Azure Heart drop?

The Azure Heart has exactly one source: defeating the Yamato world boss on Judgment Island. You reach Judgment Island through the teleporter found on every island in Sailor Piece. Once there, head toward the mountainous area at the far end of the island to find Yamato.

Yamato is a world boss, meaning any player on the server can engage it. If someone else kills it before you arrive, a respawn timer will appear in its place. According to community testing documented by Sportskeeda, Yamato respawns after 6 minutes and 30 seconds, so the wait is manageable if you're already on the island.

How to reach Yamato and start farming

Getting to the boss is straightforward. Here's the step-by-step process:

  1. Use the teleporter at your current island to warp to Judgment Island.
  2. Head to the mountainous area at the far end of the island.
  3. Engage the Yamato world boss when it appears.
  4. Defeat it and check your loot for the Azure Heart.
  5. If the boss is already dead, wait out the 6-minute 30-second respawn timer and try again.

Is the Azure Heart farmable for new players?

Technically, Judgment Island is accessible to any player. Practically, no. Yamato has 850 million HP and a powerful moveset. Without a solid endgame damage build, you will struggle to contribute meaningful damage before other players finish the fight, or worse, get knocked out trying.

Before grinding for the Azure Heart, make sure you have:

  • Your Runes and Artifacts optimized (IGN's wiki specifically recommends checking your Runes and Artifacts before attempting Yamato)
  • A high-damage sword and fighting style equipped
  • Your character at the highest level you can reach
  • Luck-boosting titles equipped, such as Celestial Favor or Destiny Marked, as noted by Beebom

The 25 pity system in Sailor Piece does guarantee a Mythical drop at certain intervals, but it does not guarantee the Azure Heart specifically. You might hit pity and receive a different Mythical item entirely.

Tips to farm the Azure Heart faster

Since there's no direct way to boost the Azure Heart's drop rate, your efficiency comes down to two things: killing Yamato faster and killing it more often.

  • Maximize your luck stat through skill tree investments, Spec Passives, and better weapon traits via the power system
  • Equip luck-enhancing titles like Celestial Favor or Destiny Marked before every fight
  • Server hop to find servers where Yamato is alive, cutting down idle time
  • Build for burst damage so you can take down the boss's 850 million HP before other players steal the kill
  • Check the NPC on Judgment Island (found on top of the mountains, to the left of the portal) for the full list of items you need alongside the Azure Heart

What is the Azure Heart used for?

The Azure Heart is a late-game progression item with two specific uses, both confirmed across multiple sources.

Unlocking the Yamato sword

This is the main reason players grind for the Azure Heart. You need to bring it to the NPC on Judgment Island (located on top of the mountains, left of the portal) along with a full list of other materials. The complete requirements are:

The good news: you only need 1 Azure Heart for the Yamato sword. The bad news: the Swordblessed Race is also Mythical rarity and requires rerolling your character's Race using Race Reroll attempts. Yamato does have a guaranteed chance to drop a Race Reroll on every kill, which is one more reason to keep running the boss even after you secure the Azure Heart.

Ascension level 9

The second use, documented by Beebom, is Ascension level 9. This requires 2x Azure Hearts, along with 2x Evolution Fragments, dungeon clears, medium boss rushes, and other tasks. This is the only situation where you need more than one Azure Heart, so factor that into your farming plan if you're pushing for max ascension.
