How to reach Betty's Gemstone
The gemstone is not hidden in the bamboo or tucked behind a building. It's at the bottom of the river almost directly below Betty's ledge. Here's the exact path:
- Drop off Betty's grassy ledge onto the lower walkway below.
- Run forward until you spot the red torii gate and the bridge beside it. Passing these confirms you're on the correct side of the river.
- Keep moving to the edge of the rocky cliff overlooking the blue river. Line yourself up with open water, not the rocks along the bank.
- Jump off the cliff. The fall is survivable and you'll surface swimming.
- Dive straight down to the riverbed. The gemstone is not floating mid-water, so keep descending until you reach the bottom near the submerged rock wall.

How to pick up the gemstone
Once you reach the riverbed, look for a dark blue, diamond-shaped crystal (two pyramids joined at their bases) glowing faintly against the rocks. Swim close enough and an interaction prompt reading Gemstone Pick Up appears with the key T shown. Press T while the prompt is visible and the item registers immediately.
Your tracker flips to Gemstone found and you'll see an XP and Wen gain pop up on screen. That on-screen confirmation means the collection step worked before you start swimming back.
