Thunder Breathing is one of the strongest styles you can pick up in Roblox Slayers 2. It sits at S tier, built around burst damage and gap-closing speed, and it rewards players who want to open fights aggressively and chain stuns before opponents can respond. Getting there takes some prep work, though. You need the right level, the right materials, and you need to actually find the trainer first.
What are the requirements to unlock Thunder Breathing?
Before you make the trek to the trainer, gather everything in advance. Arriving unprepared means a long hike back down the mountain to farm what you missed.
| Requirement | Amount | How to Get |
|---|---|---|
| Level | 25 | Complete quests and defeat enemies for EXP |
| Demon Horns | 10 | Farm Hoyuzo Subordinates (30% drop chance for 1) or the Hoyuzo Boss (50% drop chance for 3) |
| Wen | 7,000 | Complete NPC quests that reward Wen |
The Hoyuzo Boss is the faster route for Demon Horns. At a 50% chance to drop 3 horns per kill, you can clear the 10-horn requirement in a handful of runs rather than grinding subordinates one at a time.

Slayers 2 Guide: How to Unlock Thunder Breathing Style
Where is the Thunder Breathing trainer in Slayers 2?
Zentaro is the Thunder Breathing trainer, and he waits at the top of a mountain in Verdant Cliffs. The route is specific enough that it's worth following step by step.
Start at Windy Path near the shrine and head toward the Mother Bear Boss area. Walk straight past the Serpent King Obari Boss and continue into the Wilderness area. From there, keep moving straight until a large cliff appears on your left. That cliff has a vertical climbing route.
Use Wall Climb and Double Jump to parkour through the branches and up the rock face. You need to reach the third cliff, then push all the way to the mountain's peak. Zentaro is standing at the top. Interact with him to trigger the training questline, provided you meet all three requirements.

Slayers 2 Guide: How to Unlock Thunder Breathing Style
How to complete all Thunder Breathing training tasks
The training questline has six tasks. Complete them in order to unlock the style.
Meditation
The first task is Meditation. Watch the moving indicator on screen and interact at the correct timing point. Keep hitting the prompts accurately until the progress bar fills. It's a rhythm-based challenge, so stay focused on the indicator rather than rushing.
Cup Training
Cup Training is the second task and works like a classic shell game. A ball goes under one of several cups, the cups shuffle, and you select the correct one. You need to track the right cup successfully 10 times.
Push Ups
The third task is Push Ups. Follow the button prompts shown on screen and press the required input when the timing indicator hits the correct position. Keep going until the completion meter reaches 100%.
Aim Training
Aim Training is the fourth task. Targets appear on screen during the minigame and you need to hit them consistently. Stay accurate until you hit the 100% completion threshold.
Boulder Split
The fifth task is Boulder Split. Follow the on-screen prompts and keep your input aligned with the required movement direction. Land the split correctly to finish the task and move to the final challenge.
Defeat the Thunder Trainee boss
The sixth and final task is beating the Thunder Trainee Mini Boss. Make sure your HP is in good shape before starting. The fight rewards patience over aggression: watch the boss's movement patterns, wait for openings, and commit damage when you spot them rather than swinging blindly.
Once the Thunder Trainee goes down, Thunder Breathing unlocks immediately.
What do you get with Thunder Breathing?
Thunder Breathing comes with six forms that define its aggressive, dash-heavy playstyle:
- Form 1: Thunderclap and Flash
- Form 2: Rice Spirit
- Form 3: Thunder Swarm
- Form 4: Distant Thunder
- Form 5: Heat Lightning
- Form 6: Rumble and Flash
Thunderclap and Flash is the standout move. It closes distance faster than any other gap-closer in the game, which is exactly why Thunder Breathing dominates PvP against slower styles. The entire kit is designed around getting in fast, landing a stun, and chaining damage before the opponent recovers.
The tradeoff is real, though. If your opener misses, you're left exposed. Later forms have shorter reach, and when your cooldowns are down you're punishable. The style rewards players who can read their opponent and commit at the right moment, not those who spam forms and hope something lands.
After unlocking, open the Skill Tree and spend your available Skill Points to unlock the individual Thunder Breathing skills. Prioritize Form 1 first since it's your primary engage tool.
How does Thunder Breathing compare to other styles?
At S tier, Thunder Breathing sits alongside Water Breathing at the top of the rankings. Where Water Breathing tends toward sustained pressure, Thunder Breathing is a pure burst style. If you want to understand where every style falls relative to each other, the Slayers 2 breathing styles tier list breaks down each one with clan pairings and PvP versus PvE performance.
For players still working toward Level 25, the Slayers 2 demon slayer progression guide covers the fastest path from early levels through breathing unlock and beyond. Getting there efficiently saves hours of grinding.
Once you have Thunder Breathing equipped and your skill points allocated, the style plays like it reads on paper: fast, punishing, and unforgiving when you miss. Master the timing on Thunderclap and Flash and most PvP matchups become winnable before the opponent gets a second turn.
