What are all the biomes in Steal an Egg?

Steal an Egg has 12 biomes, each one guarded by a progressively angrier creature that will chase you down if your speed isn't high enough. The Forest is a free-for-all starter zone with no speed requirement, but by the time you reach the Cosmic Biome you need 700 million speed just to survive a run. Knowing exactly when to push into each new zone, and which pets are worth targeting there, is what separates players who stall out from players who hit billions per second. This guide covers every biome in Roblox's Steal an Egg, from the opening Chicken-guarded Forest all the way to the Angels and Demons endgame zone.

What are all the biomes in Steal an Egg?

There are 12 biomes total: Forest, Lake, Desert, Jungle, Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric, Cosmic, Cherry Blossom, Titan Temple, and Angels and Demons. They scale dramatically in both speed requirement and pet income, so progression through them is the core loop of the entire game.

Here's a quick-reference table of every biome, its guardian, and the speed you need before stepping in:

Steal an Egg Guide: All Biomes & Speed Requirements

Forest Biome

The Forest is the starting zone and has no speed requirement. The guardian is a Chicken, which means you can grab eggs here from the very first second you load in. Pets range from Common Chicken ($1/s) and Dog ($2/s) up to the Legendary Brr Brr Patapim at $1.8k/s. The Epic Bear at $240/s and Fox at $180/s are the realistic targets for most new players before moving on.

For a full breakdown of how to build income from scratch in this zone, the Steal an Egg beginner guide walks through the nest-to-base loop in detail.

Lake Biome

Requiring only 900 speed, the Lake is the first real progression gate. The guardian here is a Swan, and the pet pool includes the Legendary Axolotl at $2.8k/s and the Cosmic Leviathan at $220k/s. The Leviathan is a massive income spike if you land it early, but realistically you'll be farming Turtle ($60/s) and Swan ($320/s) for a while first.

Desert Biome

At 10K speed, the Desert introduces the first Mythic-tier pet: Sand Spider at $16k/s. The Cosmic Royal Sphinx sits at $280k/s and is one of the better early Cosmic pulls you can get. The guardian is another Swan, which is a bit anticlimactic for a desert, but the pets more than make up for it.

Jungle Biome

The Jungle needs 40K speed and is guarded by a Tiger. This is where the first Secret-tier pet appears: King Snake at $3.5m/s. That's a significant jump over the Mythic Tiger ($28k/s) and Spider ($22k/s), so landing a King Snake here can carry your income for several biomes. The two Legendary options, Gorilla ($4.8k/s) and Orangutini Ananassini ($5.5k/s), are solid stepping stones.

Snow Biome

The Snow biome requires 170K speed and is guarded by a Yeti, which is also a hatchable pet at Secret rarity ($5m/s). The standout here is the Eternal Ice Dragon at $65m/s, which is one of the first Eternal-tier pets you can realistically target. The Mythic Mammoth ($42k/s) and Sabertooth Tiger ($35k/s) are the reliable income sources while you grind toward rarer pulls.

Volcano Biome

At 700K speed, the Volcano is guarded by Cerberus (also hatchable at Secret rarity for $8m/s). Two Eternal pets live here: Phoenix at $85m/s and Lava Dragon at $100m/s. The Lava Dragon is the highest-income Eternal in this zone and a genuine milestone pet. Getting even a Mythic Chillin Chilli ($55k/s) here is a meaningful step up.

Abyss Ocean Biome

The Abyss Ocean requires 2.5M speed with a Beluga Whale guardian. The Eternal El Maja tops this zone at $130m/s, and the two Cosmic pets, Beluga Whale ($850k/s) and Whale Shark ($700k/s), are strong income sources. The Secret Kraken at $15m/s is the mid-tier target most players grind for here.

Prehistoric Biome

At 18M speed, the Prehistoric biome is guarded by a TRex (hatchable at Secret rarity for $25m/s). The Eternal Mosasaurus at $180m/s is the prize of this zone, and the two Cosmic pets, Triceratops ($1.2m/s) and Bronto ($1.5m/s), are solid passive income builders. Tralaledon at $32m/s (Secret) beats the TRex in raw income, making it the more valuable Secret pull here.

Steal an Egg Guide: All Biomes & Speed Requirements

Cosmic Biome

The Cosmic biome demands 700M speed and is guarded by the Cosmic Skeleton Boss (Secret, $45m/s). The Divine Unicorn at $1b/s is the top pet in this zone and one of the few pets in the game that clears the billion-per-second mark on its own. The Eternal Eternal Lunar Dragon ($250m/s) and Secret Cosmic Dragon ($60m/s) are the realistic high-end targets for most players grinding here.

Cherry Blossom Biome

Requiring 2.5B speed, the Cherry Blossom biome is guarded by the Oni Tiger (Eternal, $600m/s). This zone is also where you unlock the Sakura Incubator using the Crane pet, which is an Epic-rarity hatch at $4k/s. The Divine Kitsune at $1.8b/s is the top earner here. For the full unlock process, the Steal an Egg Crane and Sakura Incubator guide covers every step.

Titan Temple Biome

At 7B speed, the Titan Temple is guarded by a King Gorilla (Eternal, $880m/s). The Divine Nightflame tops this zone with a +6.8m speed reward and $300b unlock cost. The two Cosmic pets, Mantaris ($11m/s) and Rhinotaur ($17.5m/s), are the steady income options, while the Secret Mutant Shark at $215m/s is the big pull most players target.

Angels and Demons Biome

The final biome requires 20B speed and is unique in the entire game: it has three possible guardian states. You might face a Celestial, a Demon, or a hybrid of both. The hybrid state increases the chance of rarer pets spawning in eggs, so it's the version you want to farm. Cosmic pets here include Imp ($25m/s) and Holy Peacock ($25m/s). Secret pets reward +90m speed, Eternal pets reward +200m speed, and Divine pets reward +600m speed, putting the top-end pulls in this zone among the best speed bonuses in the game.

How should you plan your biome progression?

The speed requirements jump by roughly an order of magnitude every few biomes. Going from Forest to Lake is trivial (900 speed), but the jump from Prehistoric (18M) to Cosmic (700M) is where most players hit a wall. The answer is always the same: farm the previous biome's top pets, build passive income, and invest in speed upgrades before pushing forward.

For strategies on hitting billions per second faster, the Steal an Egg money guide covers pet targeting, speed training priorities, and fusion tips that apply across every biome in this list.
