The Hollow is Roblox's 2026 Halloween platform event, running from October 22 through November 2 at 12:00 PM PT. Nine nights, nine floors, nine monsters from the platform's most beloved horror games, and a stack of free UGC accessories waiting for players who survive long enough to claim them. The event follows the same quest-and-redeem structure as The Hunt, but with a horror twist: every floor puts a different creature on your tail while you solve puzzles and retrieve relics.

What is The Hollow and how does it work?

The Hollow runs as its own standalone experience inside Roblox. Your central base is Bloxhilda's Plaza, a ruined floating city with a movie theater, a shop, participating game portals, and an elevator that takes you to each numbered floor. Each floor introduces a new monster from a different Roblox horror game. Get caught and your floor progress resets. Reach the puzzle room, solve the puzzle, grab the Night Relic, and return to the elevator to claim your reward.

Beyond the maze floors, each day also has a paired challenge inside a participating Roblox experience. Completing those earns you a badge and a second UGC item. The shop at the Concession Stand lets you spend tickets on additional rewards, with 20 tickets awarded per completed night quest across participating games.

The Gourdlord: The Entangled head accessory is available via ticket redemption at the Concession Stand, requiring 100 tickets total. That means completing at least 5 different night quests across the event.

How to solve the Day 1 Floor 1 maze (Lord Umberhallow BLOXikin)

Floor 1 features Seek from DOORS as your pursuer. The objective is to collect 5 purple puzzle pieces scattered through a randomized maze, then assemble them in the Puzzle Room and retrieve Night Relic I.

Step-by-step:

  1. Enter the elevator in the movie theater area of Bloxhilda's Plaza and select Floor 1.
  2. Search the maze for 5 purple puzzle pieces. Spawn locations are randomized each run, but common spots include the room with four framed photos, stair corners, near the balcony, circular maze corners, and the corridor leading toward the puzzle room.
  3. Once you have all 5, locate the Puzzle Room marked by a blue barrier door.
  4. Place the pieces on the board and rearrange them so the path connects start to end. The door opens when the solution is correct.
  5. Grab Night Relic I, then head straight to the elevator.

The mistake most players make is hoarding all 5 pieces before heading to the Puzzle Room. Drop them off as you go.

How to complete the DOORS Candy Vault challenge (All-Seeking Antlers)

This Day 1 game challenge takes place inside DOORS via the portal in Bloxhilda's Plaza. You have 20 minutes to navigate 50 doors through the Candy Vault and escape the mansion.

  • Speed is the strategy. The large cauldron rooms are dead ends that loop back. Skip them.
  • Keep heading downstairs and look for the next numbered door.
  • Exit the mansion from the opposite side to finish the run.
  • Return to the Hub and claim the All-Seeking Antlers at the left reward display.

Playing with friends grants a 1.25x candy bonus, and escaping gives a 3x bonus. These only affect candy totals, not UGC eligibility.

How to solve the Day 2 Floor 2 maze (Witch's Brew-nado)

Twisted Dandy from Dandy's World hunts you on Floor 2. The maze layout changes every run, so there's no fixed route to memorize.

  1. Take the elevator to Floor 2 and search for a room that resembles a playhouse.
  2. Head up the stairs in the far-right room, then move toward the back to find a chamber with six pillars and a lever.
  3. Rotate the pillars until all six pumpkin faces point inward toward each other. Each pillar interaction also rotates adjacent pillars, so plan your moves carefully.
  4. You have only 11 turns total. When all six bases glow toward the center, pull the lever to unlock the relic.
  5. Escape to the elevator with the relic.

Reward: Witch's Brew-nado UGC accessory and badge.

Day 2 also has a secret room on Floor 2 containing the Ao Oni Nightmare portal. Finding it unlocks the Fuwatty Side Satchel UGC. Inside, you need to collect 50 pumpkins across three classes: Search (find 5 dolls), Gym (dodge waves and survive), and Escape (obstacle course). Getting caught by Ao Oni causes you to drop pumpkins collected that run, so multiple attempts are normal.

How to complete the Dandy's World challenge (Reeling Petal Garland)

Find the Dandy's World portal on the left side of Bloxhilda's Plaza. Enter, go through the orange door, and start a match.

  • Collect 200 pumpkins total across multiple runs. Pumpkins are scattered around the map and some tasks reward 25 pumpkins each.
  • Avoid Twisted Dandy. You start with 3 hearts.
  • Each completed match adds 50 bonus pumpkins on top of in-game collection.
  • Once you hit 200, return to the Hub and claim Reeling Petal Garland.

How to solve the Day 3 Floor 3 grave lock puzzle (Festering Felix)

Floor 3 is the most mentally demanding puzzle in the early event. The Biter from Demonology chases you through a ruined mansion filled with tombstones.

The puzzle: Eight tombstones are scattered across three areas (3 in the first room, 3 in the hint room, 2 near the coffin). Each shows a name, symbols, and birth/death years. You need to identify the 3 people who lived the shortest lives by subtracting birth year from death year.

Because names and dates are randomized per player, there's no universal answer. Write them down before you start solving.

  1. Walk up to each tombstone to reveal its details.
  2. Calculate each lifespan (death year minus birth year).
  3. Identify the 3 shortest lifespans.
  4. Press M to unlock your cursor, then click the buttons on the Grave Lock to input their symbols in order from shortest to longest lifespan.
  5. The coffin opens. Grab the relic and run.

Reward: Festering Felix head accessory and badge.

How to complete the Demonology ritual challenge (Biter Fedora)

Enter Demonology via The Hollow hub and select the Hollow button in the top-right corner. You'll be transported to a black-and-white realm.

You need to place 6 relics on the altar's pentagram:

  • Altar Lantern — Light 3 lamps around the square using spectral fire.
  • Stygian Hourglass — Stay inside a moving ring as it circles the square.
  • Grimoire — Read 3 signs along the western road in the correct order.
  • Devil Mirror — Chase it along the eastern road until you corner it.
  • Cursed Lock — Search crates, barrels, and buckets near the park gate for a lockpick.
  • Skull of the Allseer — Find a shovel in the graveyard and dig it up.

Use the compass's red marker to navigate between objectives. Seek can appear during the ritual. If caught, you'll drop carried items and need to recover them.

After placing all 6 relics, complete the ritual and enter the glowing door. You'll receive the Way Back badge, then return to The Hollow hub to claim the Biter Fedora head accessory.

What about the ticket shop and Gourdlord: The Entangled?

The Gourdlord: The Entangled head accessory sits at the Concession Stand under Avatar Items and costs 100 tickets. Each completed night quest in a participating game awards 20 tickets, so you need to finish 5 different quests across the event's 26+ participating games.

Participating games include Grow a Garden, Fisch, +1 Speed Keyboard Escape, Creatures of Sonaria, Royale High, Tower Defense Simulator, Duck Duck, Welcome to Bloxburg, and more. If you've already completed a quest in a participating game before entering The Hollow, teleporting to that game from the hub and returning is enough to claim the tickets retroactively.

This reward cannot be completed on a single night. Plan for it across the full event window.

Here's the short answer on priority if you're short on time:

  1. Floor 1 maze first (Lord Umberhallow BLOXikin) — Night 1 exclusive feel, moderate difficulty, Seek is manageable once you know the safe zones.
  2. DOORS Candy Vault second (All-Seeking Antlers) — 20-minute timer but the route is linear once you stop exploring dead ends.
  3. Dandy's World third (Reeling Petal Garland) — Multi-run grind, save it for when you have a longer session.
  4. Floor 2 maze and Ao Oni Nightmare — The pillar puzzle has a strict 11-move limit, so think before you interact.
  5. Floor 3 grave lock — Take notes on every tombstone before touching the lock.

For the full picture of Roblox's seasonal events and how The Hollow compares to other platform events, the complete Roblox guides collection has breakdowns for everything from The Hunt to individual game challenges.

If you want a direct comparison to how The Hunt handled its quests, the full UGC item walkthrough for The Hunt: Roblox 20 covers all 20 participating games and gives useful context for how the ticket system works across both events.

For players who want to practice the puzzle-hunt format before tackling later Hollow floors, the Crossroads badge and UGC guide from The Hunt covers a similar hidden-badge structure that translates well to The Hollow's multi-objective nights.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Carrying all 5 puzzle pieces at once on Floor 1. Seek resets everything if you're caught. Deposit incrementally.
  • Exploring cauldron rooms in the Candy Vault. They loop back to the start. Keep moving downstairs.
  • Touching the Floor 3 grave lock before reading all tombstones. The symbols are locked in once you start. Write down every lifespan before interacting.
  • Ignoring the Ao Oni secret room on Floor 2. It's a separate UGC reward that many players miss entirely because it's not in the main puzzle path.
  • Leaving ticket collection until the final day. The event closes November 2 at 12:00 PM PT and 100 tickets requires 5 completed quests across different games.

For players who enjoy the adventure-game format of these Roblox platform events, the broader adventure games section has more titles worth exploring between event nights.

FAQ

Does getting caught by a monster on a floor delete all progress permanently? No. It resets your current floor run only. Puzzle pieces you haven't deposited at the Puzzle Room are lost, but you can re-enter the floor immediately.

Can you complete multiple floors in one session? Yes. Each floor is accessible via the elevator in Bloxhilda's Plaza. You can run Floor 1 and Floor 2 back to back without leaving the experience.

Do the game challenge rewards (like Reeling Petal Garland) require completing the maze too? No. The maze reward and the game challenge reward are separate. You can earn either one independently.

What if I already completed a quest in a participating game before The Hollow launched? Teleport to that game from The Hollow hub, then return. The ticket claim triggers on re-entry, not on first completion.

Is there a catch-up mechanic for missed nights? Each night's floor remains accessible for the duration of the event. You can complete all 9 floors on the final day if needed, as long as you finish before November 2 at 12:00 PM PT.
