The Strongest Battlegrounds Tech ...

Tech Prodigy just became free for every player in The Strongest Battlegrounds, and the timing could not be better. Based on Child Emperor from the One Punch Man series, this character plays nothing like the brawlers most players are used to. A gadget-heavy kit in normal form and a towering mech in ultimate form make Tech Prodigy one of the most distinct fighters in the game. Here is everything you need to know about the full moveset, damage numbers, and how to get the most out of Iron Giant.

What moves does Tech Prodigy have in normal form?

Before you pop the ultimate, Tech Prodigy has five moves to work with. Each one has a distinct mechanical identity, and understanding their cooldowns is the difference between chaining pressure and standing still waiting for abilities to reset.

Weboom launches a homing spider that tracks the nearest player and detonates in a small area of effect. The 18.3-second cooldown is manageable, and the homing property means you can throw it out during a dash and let it do the work. At 16.5% damage on a direct hit, it punishes opponents who try to run.

Plasma Cannon has the highest single-hit ceiling in the normal kit at 35.2% when fully charged. The tradeoff is a noticeably long startup animation, so use it when an opponent is stunned or at range. Firing it uncharged at 10.1% is rarely worth the 20.7-second cooldown.

Trinity Tear is the most aggressive tool in the kit. Sprouting four legs and three mechanical arms, Tech Prodigy charges forward and can pierce through up to 3 opponents in a straight line. The 20% direct hit damage is the highest in normal form. The Variant version triggers automatically at a certain height or after Twin Burst, spinning mid-air before deploying mechanical arms to strike the ground for 12%.

Twin Burst fires twice: the first projectile sends the enemy airborne, the second slams them back down. At 15.6% unblocked and a 21.5-second cooldown, it is best used as an opener to set up Trinity Tear Variant immediately after.

How does the Iron Giant ultimate work?

The Iron Giant ultimate is what separates Tech Prodigy from every other character in The Strongest Battlegrounds. Activating it spawns a jetpack, launches the character into the air, and assembles mech parts around them to form the Iron Giant. The landing creates a large AoE that pierces armor.

Once transformed, you gain:

  • +115 HP
  • Stun immunity
  • Death prevention
  • Immunity to certain moves
  • Special M1 attacks

These bonuses alone make activating Iron Giant a high-value play in any server fight. The four abilities available in this form are where things get serious.

Photon Edge at 8 seconds cooldown is your bread-and-butter Iron Giant attack. Dragging a sword across the ground before launching the enemy upward and stabbing them mid-air deals 51.5% and resets fast enough to use repeatedly across the Iron Giant duration.

Photon Dive is the big setup move. Iron Giant jets into the sky, manifests a giant sword mid-air, then dives straight down and plunges the blade into the ground. The shockwave AoE at 65% damage hits multiple nearby players, making it devastating in group fights.

Missiles fires 15 heat-seeking missiles from shoulder launchers after Iron Giant floats backward on jet thrust. Each missile deals 2.2% damage, totaling 30.2% if all connect. The missiles aim at random points in the area ahead of the Giant, so they are best used in confined spaces or against multiple clustered opponents.

Conquest is the standout. A one-time-use lethal attack with a 100-second cooldown, it grabs the opponent, drags them across the floor, throws them into the air, then punches them through multiple buildings until they land on a rooftop. At 100% damage, this is an instant elimination. Save it for the right moment.

How much does Tech Prodigy cost?

Tech Prodigy is completely free. The character spent close to a year locked behind Early Access, but the developers have since removed that restriction. Every player on Roblox can now select and play Tech Prodigy without spending anything.

Tips for playing Tech Prodigy effectively

After running this kit through multiple server sessions, a few patterns stand out.

  • Charge Plasma Cannon from a distance. The startup is long, but 35.2% from range is a massive chunk. Opponents who close the gap will interrupt the charge, so use it after a Weboom forces them to stop and react.
  • Do not rush Iron Giant. The transformation creates a large AoE on landing that pierces armor. Activating it above a group of players turns the entry itself into damage. Flying into an empty area wastes the landing hit.
  • Photon Edge spam is real. An 8-second cooldown on a 51.5% move is fast. In Iron Giant form, you can cycle Photon Edge multiple times before most abilities on other characters even reset once.
  • Use Missiles in corridors or tight areas. The 15 missiles scatter across the area in front of the Giant. Open fields let opponents dodge more easily. Tight spaces mean more missiles connect.

Is Tech Prodigy good in The Strongest Battlegrounds?

The kit is genuinely strong. The normal form has a mix of homing, charged, and piercing moves that cover multiple playstyles. Iron Giant brings 115 extra HP, stun immunity, and four abilities including a lethal one-shot. The 8-second Photon Edge cooldown alone makes the ultimate phase punishing to fight against.

The main limitation is the long cooldowns on several normal moves, particularly Twin Burst at 21.5 seconds and Plasma Cannon at 20.7 seconds. Players who mistime these will find themselves waiting. Patience and sequencing matter more with Tech Prodigy than with more straightforward brawler characters.
