The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy Blog ...

The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy expansion introduces Ondarion, a Mediterranean-inspired world split into three kingdoms around the Emerald Sea. You can settle in pirate-influenced Verdemar, aristocratic Bellacorde, or culturally rich Dambele. Each kingdom offers palaces, treasures, mythical objects, and enough noble drama to fuel multiple dynasties.

What Makes Ondarion Special?

Ondarion breaks from typical Sims 4 worlds through its collaborative development. The Sims Team brought in creators like Plumbob Kingdom, Eva Rotky, Emerald Stories, and Studio Gabri for lot building, while the Pan Africa Gaming Group consulted on Dambele to ensure authentic North and West African cultural representation.

Info
Each kingdom delivers distinct architecture, personality, and gameplay hooks, letting you pick the ideal setting for your noble family.

The expansion centers on nobility, bloodlines, and scandal. Your Sims climb social ranks, duel with swords, uncover mythical artifacts, and maneuver through royal politics.

Navigating Verdemar

Verdemar pulls from Portuguese coastal regions like Madeira and the Azores, blending pirate history with noble traditions. The neighborhood climbs terraced hillsides, opens into communal squares, then slopes down to a working harbor.

What Can You Find in Verdemar?

The main square holds Simcalibur, a legendary sword lodged in stone. Like the King Arthur myth, your Sim can try pulling it free. Success crowns them ruler, making this essential for ambitious players.

Tip
Head to the blacksmith below Verdemar Palace to buy swords, train on dummies, and challenge other Sims to duels.

The lighthouse at harbor's edge creates a romantic backdrop for proposals or screenshots. Past it sits a secret island where treasure waits for Sims willing to swim or sail out.

Fishing spots appear behind The Lair in the Open-Air, on the dock near Fisherman's Hut, and below the lighthouse. Treasure spawns by the chess table near the palace, on the sea island, behind Casa do Corsário, and next to the vacant lot.

Harvestables include Parsley, Cherry, Pear, Bluebell, and Potato. Searchable logs and pumps contain frogs, plus standard dig spots throughout.

What Does Bellacorde Offer?

Bellacorde channels the French Riviera, Monaco, and Italian coastline. This kingdom values elegance, wealth, and pristine reputations. Gossip spreads quickly, so your Sims need to mind their manners.

The returning Capp, Monty, and Alto families live in Bellacorde, importing familiar drama into this new setting.

Key Locations in Bellacorde

The beach has parasol-covered loungers for relaxation, plus royal canoes anyone can use. Inland sits The Enchanted Mirror, letting your Sims peek into the future, test their luck, or dig up secrets about other Sims.

Warning
The Enchanted Mirror can backfire spectacularly, tanking your Sim's mood or exposing their own embarrassing secrets instead.

The sword-fighting area sits in full view of La Vivace's grand ballroom. After dueling, grab food from the nearby stall serving pizza, pasta, and the new Panna Cotta dish. The Local Wares vendor stocks rare items like unique swords, boats, harvestables, and the unpublished Writings of Cordelia Thebe.

Fishing happens at the main dock. Treasure spawns down the beach steps, on both sea islands, between the lake and Giardino Del Grandioso, and behind Renaissance Road.

Harvestables include Lemons, Roses, and Onions. Searchable logs and pumps yield frogs, with dig spots scattered around.

Why Is Dambele Unique?

Dambele stands out as the expansion's most celebrated addition. This kingdom blends North and West African cultures, with fashion inspired by Nigerian, Beninese, and Togolese traditions. The architecture mirrors historic Mediterranean North African cities from Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.

What Makes Dambele's Gameplay Special?

Anansi's Well provides mythical fortune-telling for §1. Toss in a coin, request advice, and receive wisdom. You can also complete four different Trials here, functioning as mini quests with unique rewards.

The Zanbira Tree in the town center lets your Sim request ancestor blessings when in a positive mood. You can also recite works (yours or others) at this tree to boost confidence and develop the Charisma skill.

Down by the beach, a podium lets Nobles hold press conferences and announce kingdom decisions. The sword-fighting area and training dummies sit near the town center.

Important
Hardcover operates as a library during daylight but converts into an underground club at night, giving you two venues in one spot.

Dambele Collectibles

Two fishing spots sit on separate piers flanking the beach. Treasure appears on the beach (reachable by swimming or water transport) and on the cliffs behind Bright Cliff Apartments.

Unique harvestables include Cassava, Plantain, and Daisy. Searchable pumps contain frogs, with dig spots throughout the neighborhood.

Best Tips for New Players

Pick a kingdom that fits your playstyle. Adventure and treasure hunting? Verdemar. Drama, romance, and high society? Bellacorde. Community connections and cultural depth? Dambele.

Use sword-fighting mechanics across all three neighborhoods to build relationships or rivalries with other nobles. Buy weapons from the Verdemar blacksmith, then challenge Sims anywhere in Ondarion.

Explore every corner of each neighborhood to locate hidden treasure spots, rare harvestables, and unique collectibles. The secret island off Verdemar's coast holds particularly valuable loot.
