The Manticore School gear set is the only Grandmaster-tier set in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that pairs naturally with potion builds, making it a go-to choice for players who lean into alchemy. Every diagram is hidden somewhere in Toussaint, the Blood and Wine expansion region, and you can only craft the finished pieces at the Grandmaster Smith in Beauclair. Here's exactly where to find all five.
The full Grandmaster Manticore set is built around potion synergy. If your current build stacks potion duration or toxicity bonuses, this armor amplifies that playstyle more than any other school set. After testing it against several late-game encounters in Toussaint, the difference in potion uptime is noticeable enough to justify the hunt. All five diagrams are spread across the region, so expect to do some traveling.

Fast travel to Termes Palace Ruins. From there, head into the cave nearby. Once inside, look at the notes covering the walls and make your way to the back wall. The Chest Armor diagram is sitting among the notes there. Pick it up before leaving.
Fast travel to Prophet Lebioda Statue. Head into the temple at this location. Use the Aard sign to break through the wall inside, then deal with the enemy waiting on the other side. Both the Trousers and Boots diagrams are hidden together in a table nearby. You get two pieces from one stop, which makes this the most efficient location in the hunt.
Fast travel to Basane Farm. Clear out the bandits in the area first, then dive to the bottom of the lake. Activate your Witcher Senses underwater to spot the Gloves diagram on the lake bed. The bandits respawn on return visits, so take care of them before you start swimming.
Fast travel to either Fort Astre Ruins or Rioux-Cannes Outpost, whichever puts you closer to the marked location. Once there, activate your Witcher Senses to locate a specific brick in the environment. Interact with it to uncover the Steel Sword diagram hidden behind it.
This one takes the most work. Travel to Seidhe Llygad Amphitheater and enter the cave. You'll encounter Bruxae first, so fight them off. After the fight, find the Beggars in the cave and give them coins to get past. Continue deeper, deal with Kikimores further in, then use Aard to destroy another wall. At the end of the path you'll find a Mystery Man and his chest. Loot the chest to collect the Silver Sword diagram.

Once you have all five diagrams, head to the Grandmaster Smith in Beauclair. He's the only craftsman in the game who can produce Grandmaster-tier gear. Bring the required materials and enough Crowns to cover the crafting costs. Can you get the Manticore set without Blood and Wine? No. All diagrams are located in Toussaint, which is exclusive to the Blood and Wine expansion. You need the DLC installed.
Is the Manticore set good for non-potion builds? The set's bonuses are designed around potion use. For sign or pure combat builds, the Feline or Griffin school sets are a better fit.
