Witchspire packs 70 achievements into its Early Access launch, and the spread is wider than most players expect. A handful pop within the first hour just from following the main story. Others demand 99 bonded Familiars, 1,000 brewed potions, and a full set of Legendary gear across every equipment slot. Knowing which category each achievement falls into saves you from accidentally locking yourself out of efficient grinding or missing orb pickups on rare Familiars you may not see again for hours.
How do Witchspire achievements unlock?
Every achievement triggers automatically the moment its condition is met. There is no turn-in, no quest to complete, and no NPC to talk to. The notification pops and the entry flips to complete. For counting-based achievements like brewing 1,000 potions or collecting 1,000 Wood, the tracker just needs to cross the threshold once. One extra potion is enough.
Bonding is the mechanic that drives the majority of the list. When you defeat a wild Familiar in combat, it has a chance to drop a spirit orb. Picking up that orb completes the bond. The drop is not guaranteed, so you will often fight the same species multiple times before the orb appears. Simple Spirit Incense raises your bonding chance for a short window, making it the most valuable consumable to save for rare, epic, and legendary targets.

Progression achievements: Hearth levels, player levels, and Witchspire Keys
These are the achievements that come naturally from steady play. Hearth upgrades run from Level 2 through Level 9, each gated by resource requirements that lean heavily on Wood and Stone. Collect both constantly rather than spending early stockpiles on decorations.
Player levels climb fastest through quests and active combat. The level milestones run from Level 5 all the way to Level 40, which is the Legend of Starhaven achievement and realistically an endgame goal. Witchspire Keys come exclusively from pushing the main story forward.
For a deeper look at how Hearth progression connects to your Luminary Points budget, the Witchspire Hearth levels and Luminary Points guide breaks down exactly which upgrades unlock what.
Crafting and resource achievements: what are the big grind targets?
Brewing, cooking, farming, and gathering all track lifetime totals. The small milestones (10 potions, 10 cooked items) come within a single play session. The large ones (1,000 potions, 1,000 cooked items, 500 harvested plants) require deliberate mass production.
The fastest path through the brewing and cooking achievements is to mass-produce the simplest available recipe whenever you have spare ingredients sitting idle. For Green Machine, which requires 500 harvested plants, you need to unlock farming first since the achievement tracks grown plants rather than wild pickups. Plan your Witchcraft Circle setup before chasing that one.
Shimmering (collect 25 Shimmerdust) and Stone Age (collect 1,000 Stone) both complete passively if you harvest every node you pass. Wooden Mansion (collect 1,000 Wood) is the same story. The Call of the Luminaries and The Master of Unlocking achievements track how many Luminaries you unlock, at 10 and 100 respectively. If you want a head start on those, the Witchspire guide to unlocking Luminaries covers how the point system works and which nodes are worth prioritizing early.

Gear achievements: what do you need to equip?
Gear achievements are simpler than they look, but the two hardest ones require patience with drop rates.
- Gearing Up: Equip any item you pick up.
- Full House: Fill every equipment slot with any item, regardless of rarity.
- Bling: Equip a single Legendary item.
- Ready for Anything: Equip Legendary gear in every equipment slot simultaneously.
The key rule here: these achievements check what is currently in your slots, not what you have ever worn. Keep Legendary drops in your inventory rather than selling them, because Ready for Anything needs a full Legendary loadout at the same time.
Familiar bonding achievements: every species and where to find them
This is the bulk of the list. Twenty-plus achievements are tied to bonding specific Familiar species, and each one lives in a biome that matches its theme. Starting-area creatures like Rockling, Taileaf, and Specra are accessible within the first hour. Endgame targets like Xilvant and Gwaraofeerinax require unlocked late-game regions and a stock of Spirit Incense.
For biome-by-biome routes that help you track down specific Familiars efficiently, the Witchspire biome guide covers every zone's resource and creature distribution.

Rarity and named Familiar achievements
Beyond individual species, Witchspire tracks rarity tiers separately. Rare, Epic, Legendary, Shifty (color variants), and Celestial Familiars each have their own achievement tiers, and the counting ones stack with everything else you bond during normal play.
Peb and Vex are named Familiars tied to specific encounters or questlines rather than random spawns. A Blessing from Starhaven (Celestial Familiar) sits alongside Gwaraofeerinax and Verlai as the hardest bonding targets in the game. Stock Spirit Incense before attempting any of these.
The rarity achievements do not require separate grinding sessions if you plan well. Prioritizing higher-tier Familiars in late-game zones while working toward Om's Blessed fills your rare, epic, and legendary counters at the same time.
Difficulty and hidden achievements
Witchspire launches with four difficulty settings: Easy, Standard, Hard, and Impossible. Most achievements unlock on any difficulty. A small number of combat and boss achievements are gated to Hard or higher, so a completionist run should plan for at least one Hard-difficulty save after finishing the main story on Standard.
There are also hidden achievements that only reveal themselves after you unlock them. If the total count across categories seems low when you check your Steam list, assume a few entries are folded into the hidden tier and will surface through natural play.
