Wings in Aion 2 are more than a cosmetic flex. Every pair you own contributes passive stats to your Daeva through Owned Effects, and the pair you actually equip adds another layer of bonuses on top. Getting the right wings early can meaningfully push your combat power, and knowing which ones to chase versus which to ignore saves a lot of grinding time.

What are wings in Aion 2?

Wings serve two functions: they let your Daeva fly across Atreia to reach elevated areas and activate certain skills mid-air, and they provide stat bonuses split into two categories. Equip Effects apply only when those wings are your active pair. Owned Effects apply permanently as long as you own the wings, regardless of which pair you have equipped. That second point matters a lot: collecting wings you never plan to wear still adds Flight Power, Attack Bonus, and other passive stats to your character.

Lore-wise, the wings mark your character as a Daeva, someone who has gone through ascension and earned the recognition that comes with it. Mechanically, they are a gear slot you should not leave empty.

How do you get wings in Aion 2?

There are six main routes to picking up wings, and they open up at different points in your progression.

Complete episode quests and ascend

The first wings you will ever hold come from the story. Progress through the Episodes until ascension quests unlock, then complete them. The Power in the Lake quest hands you the Lesser Daeva Wings as a direct reward, making it the very first pair on your account. Subsequent ascension quests unlock stronger Daeva Wings tiers.

Use Substance Morph

Higher rarity wings, specifically the Epic and Unique tier options, require Substance Morph: combining specific Featherdown materials with Odyle resources to produce the finished wings. Epic morphs call for Sealed Wings Featherdown x70 plus Pure Odyle x10. Unique morphs step up to x50 of a named Featherdown (each wing type has its own variant) combined with Radiant Odyle x10. Stock up on both Odyle types before you start morphing.

tip
Radiant Odyle is harder to source than Pure Odyle. Plan your Unique wing crafts around your Radiant Odyle supply rather than the Featherdown count.

Trade currency at level 45

Once you hit level 45, specific game modes start paying out dedicated currencies. Those currencies can be traded directly for wings, including the Brawler Wings and Warrior Wings available through Abyss, Arena, and Battlefield vendors. This is the most reliable path to PvP-oriented wings.

Open chests and bundles

Several wings drop from chests found in the overworld or from purchasable bundles. Poko's Skin Bundle contains three separate wing options: the Odyle Wings, Blue Butterfly Wings, and Fairy's Dream Wings. The Daeva's Chest of Might can produce the Blazing Sun Wings.

Hunt Hidden Cubes

Hidden Cubes offer a chance at the Radiant Love Wings, but the drop rate is described as incredibly rare. Use your keys on Hidden Cubes only after improving the possible drops, and do not count on this method as a primary farming strategy.

warning
Do not burn through your Hidden Cube keys chasing Radiant Love Wings without boosting your drop improvement first. The base rate is low enough that unimproved keys are a poor investment.

Buy from event shops

Seasonal events sell themed wings through their point shops. The Shugo Festival vendor carries both the Violet Butterfly Wings (Rare) and the Springflower Butterfly Wings and Spirit Wings (Unique and Epic respectively). The Season (Special) shop stocks the Talisra Wings. Event shops refresh, so check what is available during each active event.

Complete Wings list

The table below covers every wing currently in the game, organized by rarity tier with their key stats and acquisition method.

tip
Special rarity wings carry no combat stats. They are purely cosmetic, so prioritize them only after your Unique tier wings are sorted.

Which wings should you prioritize?

Best wings for PvE damage

The Forest Spirit Wings stand out for boss-focused content, bringing Boss Attack 95, Defense Bonus 400, Damage Tolerance 2.50%, and Boss Damage Boost 3.50% as Equip Effects. The Owned Effect adds another 1% Damage Tolerance and Boss Attack 30. For players pushing Expeditions and Sealed Dungeons, this pair is the clearest upgrade target.

The Nightmare Wings are a strong alternative since they come from a vendor rather than a morph, making them more accessible. Attack Bonus 60, Accuracy Bonus 35, Crit Hit 35, and Boss Damage Boost 3.50% on equip is a solid package, and the Nightmare vendor also stocks Conqueror Wings for players who want the Epic tier version first.

Best wings for PvP

Brawler Wings are the dedicated PvP option, with Status Effect Chance 3%, Status Effect Resist 3%, and HP 500 on equip, plus a 1% PvP Damage Boost and PvP Defense 100 in the Owned Effect. They share a vendor source (Abyss, Arena, and Battlefield) with Warrior Wings, which is the Epic tier equivalent if you need a stepping stone.

Best wings for survivability

Sealing Wings offer Incoming Heal 5% on equip alongside HP 400 and Natural HP Regen 200, making them the go-to for Cleric and support-oriented builds. The Blue Wave Wings cover a different kind of survivability: Evasion Bonus 35 and Crit Hit Resist 35 on equip, with Back Attack Critical Hit Resist 40 in the Owned Effect.

Utility pick: Talisra Wings

The Talisra Wings from the Season (Special) shop offer something no other pair does: Cooldown Reduction 4% on equip. For classes with long cooldown rotations, that is a meaningful stat. The trade-off is that they require seasonal currency, so availability is time-gated.

tip
Even if you plan to equip a different pair, buying Talisra Wings when the Season shop is open gives you a permanent 10 Attack Bonus and 20 Accuracy Bonus from the Owned Effect, which stacks with everything else you collect.

How to unlock wings faster

The fastest path to a meaningful wing collection runs through the ascension quest line. Completing The One Who Hears the Voice and The One Who Dreams gives you Rare and Epic Daeva Wings respectively without any farming required. The One Who Witnesses the Nightmare then delivers the Ultimate Daeva Wings at Unique rarity, which hold up well as a stat baseline while you farm Featherdown for morphed options.

For morphed Unique wings, the bottleneck is almost always Radiant Odyle rather than the Featherdown. Focus your resource gathering on Radiant Odyle first, then collect the specific Featherdown for whichever wing fits your build. Each Unique morph costs x50 Featherdown plus x10 Radiant Odyle, so plan your crafts in batches rather than one at a time.

If you want to optimize your hotbar setup to manage the consumables and skills that support your wing-based stat build, the Aion 2 hotbar and macros guide covers exactly how to bind everything efficiently.

For more on building your character around the stats your wings provide, the full Aion 2 guides collection has dedicated breakdowns on classes, builds, gear farming, and progression systems across every content type in the game. Wings are one piece of a larger stat puzzle that also includes Titles and Pantheon bonuses, and those adventure games systems all feed into the same combat power number you are trying to push.
