How does catching Aniimo work?
To catch any Aniimo, you first need to enter Catch Mode, then aim your crosshair at the target and throw an Aniipod at it. The moment you aim, the game displays your current catch success chance. That percentage is what every tip in this guide is designed to push higher.
Missed throws are not wasted. Any Aniipod that misses the target gets automatically picked up by your character, so you can throw continuously without burning through your supply.

Throw from behind
Position matters. Throwing an Aniipod at the back of your target gives a catch rate bonus on top of your base chance. It takes a few extra seconds to reposition, but the payoff is consistent. Use stealth before engaging
An Aniimo that has not noticed you and has not been pulled into a fight has a higher base catch success rate. Sneak up before throwing. Targeting sleeping Aniimo also improves capture odds. The stealth bonus stacks with the rear-throw bonus, so a stealthy approach from behind is the single fastest way to secure a catch without spending resources.
Lower the target's health first
Reducing a wild Aniimo's HP improves catch chance. Using an Aniimo with the Break role is the most efficient method since Break damage staggers the target and provides an additional catch bonus on top of the raw health reduction. Combining Break damage with Super Effective elemental attacks stacks the benefit further.

Use the right Aniipod tier

Activate and upgrade the Branch

How do you catch an Alpha Aniimo?
Alphas behave differently from standard wild Aniimo. You cannot attempt to catch an Alpha mid-fight the way you would a regular creature. You need to fully defeat the Alpha first before the capture option becomes available.
Before engaging, make sure your team is at an appropriate level. The first Alpha encountered in the game requires Aniimo at level 13 or higher. Study the Alpha's attack patterns and prioritize dodging its highest-damage moves. Swap team members as needed to avoid losing your whole squad.

Reach 80% regional collection for the Apex perk
Once you complete 80% of the Aniilog collection in a region, you unlock the Apex collection perk. Hatch eggs for guaranteed results
