The Bantam is one of two new weapons added to Arc Raiders in the Frozen Trail update, and it's positioned as the budget-friendly hand cannon for players who can't yet afford or find the Anvil. Described as a short-barrel revolver with a double-action firing mode, it fills a specific niche: heavy-hitting close-range damage against both ARC enemies and hostile raiders without requiring rare loot to equip.
How do you get the Bantam in Arc Raiders?
The good news is that Bantam is classified as an uncommon weapon, which means it drops from standard loot containers across every map. Any container, locker, weapon case, or raider cache has a chance to spit one out. You don't need to hunt specific high-tier zones to find it.
That said, there are three reliable methods to get your hands on one fast.
Tian Wen sells Bantam I directly for 11,400 coins, and you can currently purchase up to 3 revolvers from her stock. If you need one immediately before a raid, this is the fastest route. The price is reasonable for an uncommon weapon, especially if you're gearing up for a run on the new Pendola Pass map.

Arc Raiders Guide: How to Get Bantam
Is Bantam worth using, or should you stick with Anvil?
Here's the honest answer: Bantam is not going to replace Anvil as the top hand cannon. The Frozen Trail update actually upgraded Anvil to rare rarity, which tells you something about where Embark Studios sees the two weapons sitting relative to each other.
What Bantam has going for it is a unique hip-fire mechanic and its uncommon rarity, meaning you can kit out a loadout with one without burning through your best gear. The tradeoffs are real though: poor accuracy, short effective range, and difficult recoil control, particularly when hip-firing. There's also no attachment support, so what you see on the stat card is what you get.
warning
Don't expect Bantam to perform at range. It's a close-quarters tool. If you're pushing into open areas on Pendola Pass, you'll feel the accuracy limitations fast.

For newer players or anyone running a budget kit, Bantam is a solid sidearm against ARC threats and can absolutely delete a raider who pushes too close. Veteran players with Anvil access won't be switching, but that's not really who Bantam is for.
One important note: Bantam carries no weapon attachment slots, so you can't modify it to compensate for its range or accuracy weaknesses. Plan your loadout around that limitation rather than hoping to patch it post-loot.
Building your knowledge around Bantam
If you're still getting comfortable with Arc Raiders' quest structure and economy, a few other guides will help you make the most of your raids. The Shoring Up Defenses quest walkthrough covers objectives that take you through areas where Bantam drops naturally, so you can progress quests and farm the weapon simultaneously. For players working through Tian Wen's questline, the Settled in Full quest guide walks you through defeating a Bastion and earning Raider Tokens, which feed back into your coin economy for purchases like Bantam I from her shop.
