Find Toasters in Residential kitchens and apartments, starting with Ruby Residence and Pale Apartments on Dam Battlegrounds in ARC Raiders.

These Rare recyclables are needed to upgrade your Refiner, so keep your first finds intact. Dam Battlegrounds is the first choice for a dedicated hunt because its northern housing areas let you search several buildings without crossing the whole map. Blue Gate and Buried City offer alternatives when another objective takes you elsewhere. Focus on furnished interiors and searchable storage, and leave room to carry the appliances home.

Where to search on Dam Battlegrounds

Ruby Residence sits in northwestern Dam Battlegrounds. Its three buildings contain six apartments in total, giving you several interiors to search within one housing complex. Start with the cabinets in the first room of each apartment before continuing into the kitchen.

Plan your northern housing run

Pale Apartments is south of Ruby Residence and contains the same style of lootable cabinets. Start there if your spawn puts it closer, then work toward Ruby Residence. Search one building fully before moving to the next so you do not leave unchecked apartments behind.

Pattern House is another option if you still need Toasters after visiting the apartments. Add it when it fits your approach or extraction route, instead of treating every Residential building as a mandatory stop.

For a mixed-material run, the ARC Raiders Light Bulb route covers cars and the Field Depot. Plan those stops separately from your apartment sweep so the Toaster hunt does not turn into an aimless search of unrelated buildings.

Which backup locations should you use?

Look for the small person-shaped icon on the Map, which marks Residential loot. Use the following locations when you already have a reason to visit another map.

Buried CityGrandioso Apartments, Santa Maria Houses, Red TowerChoose housing near your current objective instead of committing to a full city circuit.

Riven TidesHotel Panorama Azzurro, Azzurro BeachCollect opportunistically. Hotel Panorama Azzurro is a high-threat area.

Blue Gate: search Village's houses

Village occupies the northwest corner of Blue Gate and combines Commercial and Residential loot. Prioritize the houses and their kitchens. Toasters can appear loose on countertops as well as inside cupboards, so a container-only search can miss an exposed item.

If Olives are also on your list, the ARC Raiders Olive locations point you to Olive Grove, a separate stop from Village's houses.

Buried City: keep your housing search focused

Grandioso Apartments is a medium-threat POI. Search the apartment interiors and furniture, keeping your attention on living spaces instead of extending the sweep into every nearby building.

Buried City's Residential POIs are more spread out than the northern Dam housing. Pick a housing stop near your current objective, then decide whether another is worth the travel after seeing what you find.

Space Travel is the destination for a separate ARC Raiders Cooling Fan hunt. Its terminal search is a different task from looting apartment storage for Toasters.

How to search rooms and protect your finds

Check exposed loot and storage separately

Use the same search order in each furnished room:

  1. Scan kitchen counters, tables, and shelves for loose loot.
  2. Open cupboards and cabinets, including storage away from the kitchen counter.
  3. Search drawers before leaving the apartment.
  4. Move to the next unchecked interior once you have covered both surfaces and containers.

Open the apartment storage

A Residential tag identifies the loot category, not a guaranteed Toaster pickup. These areas share their loot pool with other household items, so one empty cabinet does not settle the whole building.

If your completed sweep produces nothing, repeat the housing run in a new raid, when the area's loot refreshes. Short, focused visits avoid spending the rest of a raid searching unrelated POIs for the same item.

Use protected storage for upgrade items

Move a Toaster into your Safe Pocket when space allows. Items stored there are retained if you die, protecting the find from a failed extraction or an encounter on the way out.

Each Toaster weighs 2 kg and stacks to 3 in one inventory slot. A full stack weighs 6 kg, so one free slot is enough for the upgrade's Toaster requirement, but you still need the carrying capacity.

Once protected storage is full, weigh another building against the unprotected loot you are already carrying. Extracting with a useful find is a valid stopping point; you do not need to finish the entire housing circuit in one raid.

How many Toasters should you keep?

The upgrade from Refiner level 1 to level 2 requires:

  • 3 Toasters
  • 5 ARC Motion Cores
  • 8 Fireball Burners

Reserve the intact appliances for that recipe before processing spare loot. Recycling or salvaging a Toaster turns it into materials, which cannot replace the appliance in the upgrade requirement.

Finish your Refiner upgrade

Keep, recycle, salvage, or sell?

After covering the upgrade, choose what to do with additional Toasters based on the resource you need.

ActionResult per ToasterWhen to choose it
Keep intactOne appliance remains available for the upgradeYour Refiner level 2 requirement is unfinished.
Recycle at base5 Plastic Parts and 3 WiresYou need both crafting materials.
Salvage during a raid3 WiresYou cannot carry the appliance and want its Wires.
Sell1,000 Raider CoinsYou need coins more than the recycling materials.

Recycling a full stack produces 15 Plastic Parts and 9 Wires. Salvaging that stack produces the same Wires but none of the Plastic Parts, so bring spare Toasters back intact when you want the complete material return.
