Black Ops 7 Zombies Guide: How to Cook the Dravakar Shard

The Totenreich main quest has a habit of leaving players standing around wondering what just happened. Tyr fires a laser at the Dravakar, the ice monster goes down, and then... nothing obvious. If you're holding the Dravakar Shard and staring at the map with no idea where to go, this guide covers every step from picking up the shard to defeating the Necropincer HVT and claiming the Sunstone in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Where do you find the Dravakar Shard?

The Dravakar Shard becomes available after completing the Atomkraft Core step. Once that's done, head to Tyr's Foot and face northwest. The shard is sitting right there waiting for you. Pick it up before moving on.

How to cook the Dravakar Shard

This is the step that trips most players up, because the game gives you zero guidance on what to do with the shard once you have it. Here's the full sequence.

Step 1: Take the shard to Blodheim Hall

Bring the Dravakar Shard to Blodheim Hall, the large building where Vulture Aid is located. In the center of the hall, you'll find a roasting spit. Interact with it to place the Dravakar Shard on the firepit.

Step 2: Light the firepit with the Jotunn Star

With the shard sitting on the spit, you need to fire a charged shot from the Jotunn Star at the firepit. A successful hit replaces the normal flame with a permanent blue flame. That blue flame is your confirmation that the step worked. If you don't see it, the shot didn't register, so try again.

If you still need the Jotunn Star, check out the full Jotunn Star Wonder Weapon guide before attempting this step.

Step 3: Get a Disciple Injection

Once the blue flame is active, you need a Disciple Injection. You can grab one from the Crafting Table or find one at Eidskallen Stave Church. Either works, so use whichever is faster based on where you are on the map.

Step 4: Throw zombies into the firepit

With the Disciple Injection in hand, use L2 to grab and throw zombies directly onto the firepit. You need to throw approximately 4 zombies into the flame to fully cook the Dravakar Shard. After the last zombie hits the fire, all nearby zombies die and the effect ends, returning you to normal gameplay.

What happens after you cook the Dravakar Shard?

Once the cooking sequence completes, a Necropincer HVT spawns. This is a tough enemy, so don't let the cutscene catch you off guard. The Jotunn Star works well here, but any high-damage weapon will do the job. Burn through your resources if needed since this is the penultimate step before the boss fight.

With the Necropincer dead, return to the Dravakar Shard at the firepit. You'll find the Sunstone at the front of it, ready to collect. That item pushes you directly into the final boss fight preparation.

What else should you do in Totenreich?

The Dravakar Shard step sits near the end of a long quest chain. If you're working through Totenreich systematically, the full Black Ops 7 Totenreich Relics guide covers all 6 relics with unlock conditions and trial tips, which is worth completing before you push into the main easter egg. For everything else Totenreich has to offer, the complete Black Ops 7 guide collection has walkthroughs for every major step.
