How do you get the Mystery Key in Deltarune Chapter 5?
The Mystery Key is sold at the Shop in the Cliffs area. If you have fast travel unlocked, open the magic door and select Cliffs, then Shop. The catch is the price: the Key costs 10 Pink Coins, a special currency scattered across the Flower World.
There are 19 Pink Coins total in the chapter, so you have plenty of margin for error. They turn up in chests tied to secrets and puzzles throughout the Dark World. You do not need to find all 19, just enough to hit that 10-coin threshold. There are no additional benefits to collecting extras beyond that purchase, so do not stress about a perfect run before heading to the shop.

Where is the Pink Door in Deltarune Chapter 5?
Once the Mystery Key is in your inventory, the journey to the Pink Door starts at Green's Shop. From there, head right and hit the perspective shift switch, then climb to the top of the area. At the top, go left.
The next section requires platforming. Use your sword to bounce across moving flowers and work your way across. Falling does deal a small amount of damage and resets you to the beginning of the section, but it is not punishing enough to cause real problems.

When you spot the first drop point, take it. The room below contains a green pinwheel. Activate it and you will begin a slow descent through obstacles. During the fall, dodge incoming hazards and slash the blue flowers to clear space for your Soul to pass through gaps.
At the bottom of the descent, you enter a new area containing the large Pink Door. Use the Mystery Key to unlock it and head inside. There is also a fast-travel access point right here, so if you want to come back later with better preparation, you can leave and return without repeating the platforming section.

Forget conventional damage. You cannot hurt Pink through normal attacks. The win condition is filling the Doki Meter on the right side of the screen, and the method is flirting.
Understanding the Doki Meter and TP
The Act menu for Kris and Susie includes a Flirt option. Using it fills Pink's Doki Meter. Higher-tier options like MegaFlirt exist but cost more TP to use. With Ralsei, focus on increasing max TP capacity first so the advanced Flirt moves become accessible.
TP comes from collecting pink hearts during Pink's attack phases. Move your heart with the left stick to reach them as they appear in the bullet board. The more hearts you collect, the more TP you carry into your next turn.
Round-by-round breakdown
Round 1 establishes the loop. Pink attacks with box puzzles and occasional cat-emoji trains that deal damage on contact. Sometimes there are explosions. Dodge the hazards, collect pink hearts for TP, then Flirt on your turn. Once the Doki Meter fills, Pink enters a "dating" phase where she asks questions. Choose answers that affirm her until you exhaust the suitable options.
Round 2 repeats the same structure, but the date phase introduces a complication. Pink reaches a breaking point and splits into two separate entities: her body and her ghost. The two have exactly opposite preferences, making it harder to satisfy both simultaneously.
Round 3 raises the Doki requirement to 20. The box puzzles become more complex, pink hearts appear more frequently but so does the damage potential if your heart gets trapped. The date phase turns chaotic as Pink's ghost merges back with her body and she loses control. Collect pink hearts from the puzzles while avoiding "Die" words that appear on screen and reset your progress. The final sequence in this phase has you running toward the end while dodging those words.
Round 4 is the strangest. The Doki Meter fills automatically, so your only job is to survive the incoming attacks across a few turns. Once it maxes out at 20, the final date begins.
In the closing sequence, you answer as Pink's ghost. Her body wants to understand what went wrong. The correct path involves responses that acknowledge she feared losing Pink but that accepting both sides of herself is what leads to happiness. Choose the affirming answers and the fight ends.
What do you get for beating Pink?
Defeating Pink rewards you with the Shadow Crystal plus something additional that is worth experiencing without spoilers. The fight is entirely optional, but it is one of the more memorable encounters in Chapter 5 given the narrative payoff.
