Peter Pan's contribution to the Picture Pursuit event is one of the trickier quests in the lineup. Skull Rock is enormous, multi-leveled, and genuinely dark in its underground sections, which makes hunting down four hidden Lost Boy Motifs far less straightforward than it sounds. This guide covers every Motif location in exact order so you can clear the quest without backtracking through those dim tunnels twice.
How to start the Picture Pursuit: Peter Pan quest
Before any Motif hunting begins, you need to talk to Peter Pan directly. He kicks off the quest by explaining what you're looking for and confirming the location. Once that conversation wraps, head to Skull Rock, which sits on the small island just off the coast of Dazzle Beach. The entrance is easy to miss if you haven't been there recently, so look for the opening on the island's shore.

First Motif near tunnel entrance
All four Lost Boy Motifs are hidden inside Skull Rock itself, spread across multiple floors including the underground tunnel network. The area is large enough that visiting each level at least once is unavoidable, but the directions below cut out any unnecessary wandering.
Where are all the Lost Boy Motif locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
Motif 1: wooden crate near the circular tunnel entrance
The first one is the easiest to grab. Step inside Skull Rock and walk straight ahead toward the pier where the large floating ship is docked. Before you board anything, pan your camera left toward the stacked crates sitting near the circular tunnel entrance that leads underground. The Lost Boy Motif is printed on the back face of one of those crates, visible as soon as you angle your view correctly.
Motif 2: underground tunnel dead end
This is the one that trips most players up. The tunnels beneath Skull Rock are dark, cramped, and full of identical-looking crates. Head through the circular tunnel entrance on your left immediately after entering Skull Rock. Follow the path forward and keep going straight until you hit a fork in the road. Take a left at the fork, then take another left right after. Walk a short distance forward and you'll reach a dead end corner where a crate holds the second Lost Boy Motif.
Motif 3: wooden wall behind the floating ship
Back on the main level, head out onto the wooden pier and interact with the sparkling spot near the ship's ladder. This teleports you directly onto the deck. Once on board, climb the stairs on the right side of the ship. At the top, look at the wooden wall directly behind the ship's stern and you'll find the third Lost Boy Motif mounted there.
Motif 4: top level of Skull Rock near the crafting station
The fourth Motif is on the highest floor of Skull Rock, the same area where the musical note puzzle appeared during Peter Pan's unlock quest. From where you found Motif 3, turn right and pass through the circular wooden hole, then head up the ramp to reach the top floor. Walk to the back wall and look near the crafting station positioned there. The final Lost Boy Motif is right beside it.
What do you get for completing the Peter Pan quest?
Once you return to Peter Pan with all four Motifs found, he rewards you with a yellow Motif bag containing the Lost Boy image. This unlocks the Lost Boy Motif for use in your future creations and counts toward the broader Picture Pursuit event progress.

The Picture Pursuit event includes several other quests beyond Peter Pan's, each with their own hidden Motifs to track down. For Pete Motifs tied to the Mickey quest, the Pete Motif locations guide has every spot mapped out. For Walrus Motifs in the Merlin quest, the Walrus Motif locations guide covers the Dream Castle search in full.
