Tile puzzles in Disney Dreamlight Valley are notorious for offering zero hints about what image you're supposed to be building. During Interlude 2: The Gloomy Hollow in Honeyglow Woods, you hit two of them back to back, and the second one requires finding a missing piece before you can even start. If you've been staring at mismatched tiles for the last ten minutes, here's every step you need.
What's the goal of Eeyore's tile puzzle?
Both tile puzzles work the same way mechanically. You use your Royal Shovel to flip individual tiles, cycling through their possible orientations until the full grid forms a complete picture. The catch is that there's no preview of the finished image, so knowing what you're aiming for makes all the difference.
There are two separate puzzles to complete during this quest. The first is waiting for you on the ground. The second requires you to track down a missing tile before you can get started.
First puzzle grid layout
How to solve the first tile puzzle
The finished image on the first puzzle shows Winnie the Pooh and Piglet standing on either side of Eeyore, hugging him. Start by getting your anchor points locked in.
Flip the upper-left and upper-right corner tiles until each one displays a white star. These corners act as your reference points for the rest of the grid.
Once the stars are in place, look for the light purple color shared across adjacent tiles. That color match is your guide for lining up every remaining section.
Here's the full flip sequence if you're starting with untouched tiles:
- Flip the orange leaf tile until it shows part of Winnie the Pooh's head.
- Flip the orange tile with Eeyore's head until both Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore appear together.
- Flip the center tile until its color matches the surrounding tiles.
- Flip the raindrop tile next to the center until it aligns with the images around it.
- Flip the bottom-left corner tile until you see Eeyore's tail and Winnie the Pooh's foot.
- Flip the middle tile until it shows Eeyore's legs and a star.
- Flip the bottom-right corner tile until the full picture clicks into place.
How to find the Missing Puzzle Tile
Before the second puzzle unlocks, you need to locate the Missing Puzzle Tile. Head to the nearby river and look for a gold bubble fishing spot. Cast your line there and reel it in. That's your missing piece.
Once you have it, walk back to the second puzzle and slot the tile in to activate the grid.
How to solve the second tile puzzle
The second puzzle's completed image shows Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet sitting together on a grassy hill, looking up at a rainbow. The top row is your anchor here.
Flip all three top row tiles until each one displays a sun symbol with a rainbow background. Lock those in first, then work downward, matching colors and shapes to the established top row.
Full flip sequence for the second puzzle:
- Flip the blue cloud tile until a rainbow appears next to the sun.
- Flip the top-center tile (showing Eeyore's back and a cloud) until it also shows a rainbow and sun.
- Flip the third cloud tile until it reveals more of the rainbow and sun.
- Flip the tile directly below the third until its color matches the surrounding tiles.
- Flip the bottom-left tile with Eeyore's tail until it lines up with the tiles around it.
- Flip the bottom-right tile until the puzzle completes and a new potion appears.
