Hercules is strong enough to move mountains, but apparently not careful enough to carry one ancient urn. In Disney Dreamlight Valley, The Grecian Urn is Hercules' Level 2 Friendship Quest, and it starts with a very familiar problem: something precious gets broken, and you're the one who has to fix it. The quest runs you through crafting, a jigsaw-style puzzle, and a gemstone hunt before Phil finally gets his prized possession back in one piece.
What do you need before starting The Grecian Urn?
Before this quest unlocks, a few boxes need to be ticked. You must have completed Phil's Level 2 Friendship Quest, Satyrical Theater, and reached Level 2 Friendship with Hercules. Both Phil and Mirabel need to be unlocked as Valley residents, Chez Remy (Remy's Restaurant) must be open, and the Dazzle Beach biome needs to be accessible. Skip any of those and the quest simply won't appear.
How to start The Grecian Urn quest
Talk to Hercules anywhere in the valley to pick up the quest. He'll mention that Phil has a fancy urn he wants to move out of storage. Head to the ground floor of the Dream Castle, which sits in the center of the Plaza biome, and walk to the right side of the entrance area. You'll find both Hercules and Phil there. Talk to Hercules again, and sure enough, the urn ends up on the floor in pieces almost immediately.

Where the trouble starts
Picking up the fragments
Scatter around the Dream Castle floor and collect all 8 Grecian Urn Fragments. They're all in the same general area near where Hercules and Phil are standing, so none of them are hidden. Once every fragment is in your inventory, track down Mirabel somewhere in the valley and talk to her. She points you toward a specific type of adhesive that should do the job.
How to craft Conservator's Glue
Mirabel tells you that Conservator's Glue is what you need to hold the urn together. Gathering the three ingredients is straightforward, though the soil count is the one that takes the most time.
Conservator's Glue ingredients
Once you have everything, head to any crafting station. The Conservator's Glue recipe shows up under the Hercules quest icon in the crafting menu. After crafting it, talk to Hercules to update him on your progress.

Why do you need rustic clothing?
Hercules wants you dressed appropriately for the restoration work. You need to equip at least three items tagged as rustic before you can proceed. The fastest way to find them is to open the Wardrobe Menu and click the Hercules quest icon, which filters your wardrobe to show only rustic-tagged clothing automatically. You can also search the "rustic" tag manually if you prefer browsing.
Once you're dressed, head to Hercules and Phil's house. Make sure you have all 8 Grecian Urn Fragments and the Conservator's Glue in your inventory, then hand them over to Hercules.
How to solve the Grecian Urn puzzle
After giving Hercules the materials, interact with the puzzle orb sitting near the table behind him. This triggers a jigsaw-style restoration puzzle where you pick up pieces from a tray on the left and place them in the correct positions on the right to reconstruct the urn's painted scene.
The mechanic is the same one used in earlier quests like A Real Godly Mess, so it won't feel completely new. The pieces can be rotated, and the trickiest part is matching the painted lines across adjacent tiles. A reliable approach is to place the corner pieces first, then work inward by matching edge shapes and painted details.
Once the puzzle is complete, talk to Hercules again. The urn looks better, but the repaired cracks are still visible. Hercules has one more idea.
Gathering the gemstones
Hercules wants to grind colored gemstones into powder and use them to fill and decorate the crack lines, turning a flaw into a feature. You need one gemstone in each of three colors:
- Blue gem x1 (Aquamarine, Blue Zircon, Pure Ice, Sapphire, or Star Sapphire)
- Red gem x1 (Garnet, Ruby, or Spinel)
- Yellow gem x1 (Citrine or Topaz)
Any gem from the correct color category works, so check your storage first before heading out to mine. Rock nodes in biomes like Dazzle Beach, the Forest of Valor, and the Forgotten Lands are reliable spots depending on which gem you need.
Bring all three gems back to Hercules. He'll convert them into Gemstone Powders and hand them back to you.

Apply powders to finish the urn
Finishing the quest
Return to Hercules and Phil's house and interact with the urn on the table at the back of the room. Drag all three Gemstone Powders from your inventory onto the urn to apply them. The Restored Grecian Urn will drop nearby once the process is done.
Pick up the Restored Grecian Urn and bring it to Phil. He's delighted, but he wants the whole valley to see it. Head outside and open the Furniture Menu to place the urn anywhere outdoors. There's no specific location requirement, so place it wherever makes sense for your valley layout.
Snap a photo with the Royal Camera to mark the occasion, then talk to Hercules one final time to officially complete the quest.
What comes next?
Completing The Grecian Urn moves you forward in Hercules' friendship track. His Level 4 Friendship Quest, Aquatic Musings, unlocks next and involves helping him solve a mystery tied to the valley's waters.
If you're looking for more to do in the meantime, the Disney Dreamlight Valley guides collection has walkthroughs for a wide range of quests. You might want to tackle Olaf's Grand Exhibition quest if you haven't already, or work through Phil's An Unlikely Hero quest to keep building that side of the Hercules storyline alongside the main friendship track.
